The Dunning family cheated a bit by stocking up on things in January and then committing to the "spend nothing" motto for February. It probably created a bit of a "lost" feeling at first, not running here or there and picking up something, food, a new shirt, going to the movies, other spontaneous things families can do. I'm glad they're learning to stretch themselves and are teaching their kids about money now and a little frugality. It's a good thing. :)
I think it's awesome these people took on the lifestyle change and have a real appreciation for what they have and don't whine about what they have not, as so many people I know do.
I wonder what they will do when the kids get just a couple of years older. Boys and girls need their privacy away from each other. Even on 'Little House on the Prairie' Albert didn't sleep in the loft with the girls. What will they do?
I'd have to see this to believe it. I also assume you must do enough gardening to be able to have enough food to last you for an entire year. I'm not so sure I'm sold on your story. If you could build an entire house, a 5 story house at that! for 200 dollars, why would it cost so much, 40 dollars for a bathroom? hmm..
Erika, don't bat your wings too hard, you are so sure you make more than most, for crying out loud, you have a bachelor's degree! I'm sure you aren't making more than "most". I'm embarrassed for you.
Renae, Anderson did indeed have tattoo sleeves on the show a few days ago, but they were all temporary tattoo's. He wants one, but isn't sure if he'll go through with it or not.
lol! I've been listening to your video's answering viewer comments during commercial breaks in your show and Kat asked, : “You never say "Uh" or stop your speaking speed. You sound really good. How is that possible?” Just then I turned back to the television and you said, "uh,uh" before making a comment. It made me LOL. Fun stuff!
I think there's a reminder before you post a comment to keep the comments relevant to the blog entry. I read your profile and felt you using comments to try to get on the show to get a free ride from Anderson Cooper is so inappropriate. No money but tanning? I don't think you'll be on the show. Best wishes and I apologize for policing the board.
Okay, so far I've watched about half of the show and I've got to say, even though I still can't believe these people are on your show at least you're allowing the audience the audience an opportunity to tell the mom's what most of us are thinking. You're just buzzing on Go Go Juice, so I don't know if you can be held responsible for your current actions!!!

Anderson Cooper! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. YOU doing a show on pageant mom's and giving them makeovers?! My gosh, are you seriously willing to lose the respect of so many of your viewers?
You've certainly lost some of the respect I've had for you for so many years. I still adore you and like a child who has disappointed the parent (in your case, the viewer) I will forgive you, but this is a show that is so far beneath you. May I add, the pageant parent who got the makeover in the above photo from the show, in the pink glam. She looks seriously awful and if anything, she's embarrassed hersel****ain. Toddlers and Tiara's is a disgusting show. The mom's all have mental problems and the kids have narcissitic behaviors that are going to lead to problematic relationships and instability in their adult lives. I can't bear to listen to these parents and their children speak. There are precious few parents who sincerely enjoy watching their children shine and use these pageants to help teach confidence. These are also the ones who aren't doing the glam or glitter pageants. Children made up to look like little women should be whipped.
