I am a mother of three (29 yrs, 19 yrs and 16 yrs). I worked full time for the majority of that time and was fortunate enough to work half-time for 3 years while my youngest two children were in middle school. It is HARD WORK being a stay at home Mom. In fairness, it is also hard to juggle career and family. When I worked half-time, it was truly the best of both worlds. I didn't burn out being at home or at my job. Having been on both sides of the spectrum, I was shocked when I heard your guests refer to SAHMs as "lazy" and "under-stimulated." I'm sure there are some SAHMs who are lazy and under-stimulated...just as there are some working Moms who are the same at home and/or work. Women should respect each other's choices.
