Spring 1, can i ask what you do for work, I would imagine it does not require a lot of human contact. Are you capable of making a reasoned response without being defensive and accusatory, WRITING IN CAPITALS, or using words that need to be blanked out?
I'm with Katie on this. Spring 1 you are so over the top that you seem a caricature of a nightmare customer. I suspect you are an intern just writing such diatribes to liven up this blog. If this is so, you have a bright future in script writing. It is hard for me to believe you can have such obtuse views of the world and people around you and have any healthy adult, human relationships.
I agree with the churlish assessment and I pity Springs 1. Perfectionism may be the problem. It is a nice idea but rarely achieved.
Sorry you feel that way Springs 1. And sorry you have a predetermined opinion that "most servers are *** jerks". We have all had bad service and I agree with you that is is unacceptable and can be infuriating at times. I go back to my original point that the service you receive is a reflection of yourself. Could you be projecting your multi-point list in your demeanor and body language that puts the server on edge? Could you be sending the message that you are waiting for them to slip up so you can pounce? Somethings are not "common sense" to everyone. If you let them know how they will be judged they will feel more fairly treated and at least the good waiters will try hard to accommodate you.
Springs 1, how can you stand to go out anywhere with that list and not be disappointed?
Service is a 2 way street and is often a reflection of your own behavior. Yes, waiters can be rude occasionally, however I guarantee if you show an ounce of compassion you will get improved service. Waiters are juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and can sometimes be distracted, we are human after all. It also helps if you have likes and dislikes like springs 1 to let your server know ahead of time. This gives them a chance to get things right.
