I am not trans but have had experience in "coming out" issues of my own. The most amazing thing i learned about "coming out" in the sense of self-acceptance is the amount of suppression that closeting causes in a life that is not even related to sexual issues. Things get better from job performance, the amount of laughter you have, the ability to not sweat the small stuff, you love better, listen better, FEEL better, carry yourself better, think better. The list goes on and on. People think it is all about sex,(as in having sex) but it isn't. I think it is WONDERFUL you are giving time and public education to the need of TG people and especially children to be supported and left alone by those who can't wrap their minds around it. I hope that other forms of orientation are able to reach children with early awareness because the cost of closeting is great and many fabulous lives get "aborted" or limited by the "global" nature of suppression.
