Rehabilitave Alimony is the way to go,10 years max. In todays world, there is no insentive to become producdtive thanks to the Courts.

I would like to thank Anderson Cooper and the ABC network for presenting an in-depth view of the inadequacy of the present Alimony Laws and philosophies of the Judicial System. I am a victim of the Inadequacies of The Florida Alimony Laws. I was married to a women for twenty years that entered the marriage with nothing, brought nothing, accomplished nothing, was not gainfully employed, did not work during the marriage, no children,did not cotribute to the marriage.She instituted the Divorce.We split 50,50. She received Perminent Periodic Alimony, Specifically for Healthcare for life. She received an amount from my employer for COBRA,that was erroneous by $500 per month. Now that she turned 65, it increased the "Windfall" to $900 per month. I filed a Petition for Modification, went to trial, however, the Magistrate and Judge refused to take the "Windfall" into consideration. I have to pay for this error for life.I am now appealing it in the Forth District Court of Appeals, in the hope to "Right the Un-Righable Wrong here in the State of Florida.
