A note in general to folks who see surgery and hormone replacement therapy as "drastic" or "unnatural" procedures:

Plenty of cisgender folks elect to undergo similar medical treatments, as well. Cis women are able to get breast implants very easily, whereas trans women are required to "prove" the necessity of the procedure with a therapist's note. Cis men have chest masculinization surgeries much like those sought after by trans men. Many people undergo hormone replacement therapy as well, for a variety of reasons.

Eye glasses aren't "natural," nor are cell phones or computers. However, we are fortunate enough to have this technology, so it would be foolish to stigmatize putting it to use.

Being trans is not an illness. Your conceptualization of this whole discussion is fundamentally flawed.

Sex is assigned at birth; doctors take a cursory look at a baby, and depending on whether the genitals most closely resemble a penis or not, they assign the child as male or female. However, this very classification is questionable. 1 in every 100 births does not fit neatly into the standard male or female designation.

So what makes a body male or female? Is it the ability to impregnate or become pregnant? There are plenty of folks who can do neither of these. Is it the presence of specific chromosomes? Many people have chromosomal structures that differ from the normative xx/xy configuration (1 in 1666 births, in fact). Is it hormone balance? Hormone balances differ greatly from person to person and are not frequently tested medically. The fact is, the categories of male and female are tenuous at best.

Thus, it is hardly a surprise that many people feel the sex assigned to them at birth is a poor descriptor of their gender identity. Assigned sex does not inform gender identity (nor does gender identity necessarily inform gender expression). It is unfair to expect others to change so that their existence may fit neatly into your worldview. It would serve you better to expand your view to see and accept the world as it really is.
