I have a friend that is trans male to female. 10 years ago this summer she called me to say good bye. I had only known her for about a year and couldnot believe she would call an old lady the ran a book store. I leaned over tord the window and saw him in a yellow dress hanging out her six floor window. I paniced for a minute as she said she wanted to say good bye. I said I had an in coming call put her on hold and called the cops.

She has gone through alot of therapy at Persad. She has accepted a lot of health problems that makes surgery not possible. She's still around but NOW she is one of my best friends. Her story is a very painful and tragic as I see it. But she has accepted everything the good and the bad.

I had a problem with calling her "her" at times. When were shoping or doing other things more assigned to women I call her she, her etc. But if she on a ladded or swinging a hammer and fixing things She becomes he, him.

I would not have missed knowing Ricki because her person is defined by what is in those unidentifiable things that make her a caring and loving human being no matter how the package is wrapped.
