I first want to say I am a T-6 paraplegic and have been since 1980 so anything I say comes from first hand experience. The woman is either truly sick or stupid, I can't understand why anyone would want to be in a wheelchair when they can walk. I get so upset that even now I am having problems trying to "write" this message. Has she ever had an epidural blocking the nerves? Even that would not be the same because it would wear off. Maybe if she was given one and left alone in a strange room where everything was just slightly out of reach; with no way to get to them. To have uncontrolled bowel or bladder accidents maybe she would think twice about being a paraplegic. Maybe she will and then get hit by a car and become a quad!! I'm sorry I see in that!
I was 29 when I was shot and my youngest son was going on 4 now 36, he looked at me and said it is sad but he can't really remember me when I was up and walking..
