Inside the FLDS
Anderson also speaks with former FLDS members, including two young women who were asked to leave after dissenting from the FLDS ways.

Friday's show with Julianne Moore. You forgot Garry Moore, famous TV host of The Garry Moore Show in the late 1950's, also host of I've Got A Secret.
In want to introduce them to GOD the father of Christ Jesus because they must be serving a Idol because says to have one wife and all this marring children is illegal and the government needs to involved to get those kids out and get them some real Christian Counseling, DELIVERANCE comes to mind for a start it is written in the POWERFUL name of CHRIST JESUS YEA and AMEN!!!
After watching this show, I had a bit of a culture shock to hear that there were actually people living in this condition thinking that how they are living is normal. Most of us don't think outside of our own homes and communities but this has widened my view on this world and its people. This show had a deep and compelling subject matter but what was the outcome and result? Is anything going to be done in order to heal those who've escaped or to help those who are still trapped? On a more positive note, to shine light of these events did raise awareness to many about the flds and the repulsive acts that go on in their community. However, I am hoping and praying that these people will find peace and that this show will reach those who can make a difference in those people's lives.
I would like to know why it was not made clear that the LDS church is not affiliated with the FLDS Church.
This was a very interesting show. I happened to be at a location today where I had access to cable channels and came across Anderson's show. I found the topic very engaging and I hope you'll do a follow up on this sect and others like them. As the one young woman mentioned, there are all types of abuses happening in sects like the FLDS and women and children are powerless and need help in leaving if they so choose to for their own safety.
doesn't matter how they twist and turn this so called 'religion' God does not grant permission to abuse
women and children.
Great show and I'm amazed that we have so many federal laws being broken. Why can't we have a follow up show asking the state reps to come on and explain what they are doing about it? Maybe ask the Attorney General to also come on the show and ask why the federal government is not doing anything.
Anderson, it’s great that you bring these types of issues to people’s attention but you need to take it one step further and help people gain justice. You have the media attention which can provide the needed pressure to make things change. Please use your popularity to its fullest impact.
Respectfully!

My step dad was a pedophile, and bisexual. He was a minister and from Utah originally. He had other children.
From age 2-18, he was raping me, my sister, and my brother. We had no knowledge of what each of us was going through.
I've written a book about my experience, which was before one could go to authorities or seek police protection.
To compound the confusion, my mother was battered, an alcoholic, and sexually abused my brother. He committed suicide at 34, and my sister was in her early 4-s when she died.
I am still here at 80 years old, and doing what I can to bring awareness to the public.
I have a knowledge of what grooming means, and I know how children can protect themselves from predators. I would love to talk about that on your show.
Thank you for all that your doing, Mr. Anderson.
On Anderson Cooper today - it was brought to my attention - here in Colorado, and nationwide, we have multiple marriage households where young teenage girls are not given the right to say NO and be married - UNDER THE GUISE OF RELIGION - to men whom raised them as their father and now will become their husband. Young girls are being abused and we the tax payer are supporting these men, their abusiveness lifestyles. Anderson speaks with Wallace Jeffs, half-brother of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints -
Wallace was asked if he and others, claim one wife on their tax returns and the remaining women in each household, claim to be single mothers with children and receive all benefits - food stamps and money monthly to provide for their households. I learned, we are not locking these men up for not only destroying the lives of so many youths, young girls and young men, but we ARE PAYING FOR IT TO HAPPEN!!! WE ARE PAYING WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS TO PROVIDE FOOD AND LIVING EXPENSES FOR THESE MEN TO CONTINUE. And I might add, as these women are not educated in financial paperwork, these men are filling out these forms and the women do not know what they are signing for, other than food for their children. Change this -I challenge your office to attack this issues and have posted on Facebook for others to hear and make a noise to our Senators to change this NOW!!!
Pay people to lock these men up with the tax dollars we have been using to provide this unconstitutional lifestyle.

Raging Angry in Colorado
my letter sent to our State senators and asking others to join in this and make a voice for these people and for change.
Very interesting relevant program...seems to retain integrity even while providing compelling subject matter. Do wish that Mr. Cooper would give his guests a little more opportunity to speak. As seems to be the case with many hosts, he does interrupt guests, and asks questions even as a guest is attempting to answer a previous question. Especially female guests.
Thanks for reading,
Marsha
I would like to make it clear, the Fundamentalist LDS Church is DIFFERENT than the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS)I really was hoping that would have been stated on the show. Thank you Whitney Hodges! Also, thank you Harriet DAgostino! Mitt Romney is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) not FLDS. The LDS Church dropped polygamy over 100 years ago! The FLDS formed when we (LDS) stopped polygamy. ANYONE WHO IS A POLYGAMIST IN THE LDS CHURCH IS AUTOMATICALLY EXCOMMUNICATED.
Iam from az this has been going on for to long the officals raided Short Creek az in 1954 and it is still going.....
I wonder if black people are disliked in the FLDS community? So, if someone decides they want to conform to this lifestyle, are they allowed to do so if they will follow the rules?
i am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints! i just want to make it clear that the FLDS members are NOT mormons! they are not affiliated with us!!! i want to make sure everyone knows how different we really are!!! http://lds.org/general-conference/2011/10/the-importance-of-a-name?lang=eng&query=fundamentalist+mormons this is a link to what one of our leaders said about the flds church. we are NOT affiliated with them.
