Just wanted to say about the kid that stole the 5.00 and the cops hand cuffed him the mom should pay th for the lesson if he took 5.00 now what will he take later if he think it is ok . And from who. I just made a little prize for my husband . It had an Egg with a 2 Dollar bill. One of the kids took it . I have been thinking about it . It wasn't the money it was the idea that some one would take something that was not theirs

For the Cuffing Scandal - Yes I agree that the child will be traumatized for the rest of his life. However, I am more than sure that same child will never again steal from another person for the rest of his life. Many adult criminals exhibit signs of deviant behavior as children. With a ZERO tolerance for such behaviors, many and worse crimes can be avoided which makes for a better future for that child and countless future victims.

I was appalled at the minister's comments about tipping. What a horrible message he is sending to his congregation. I used to be a waitress and very much disliked working on Sunday's because that was the worst day for tips.

A minister at a church I used to attend told people to make sure that they left a good tip because that was how people made a living. He went on to say that especially if you were going to leave a pamphlet about Christ that they should leave a really good tip otherwise they were giving the waiter/waitress a horrible view of Christians. Furthermore why would anyone want to read something left by a person who did not tip.

just heard a commentary regarding Cary Grove Hs plans to fire weapon during Code Red drill. Just wondering how many hs or adults for that matter would recognize live gunfire? Its the way of the world now but if they know the sound the might know when to run too

Re: Kid handcuffed

Anderson and Jane,

Come on. Let's get the WHOLE story about this kid please! let's get Law enforcement's side. It sounds a bit odd. Why was he at the Police station anyway? why were the Police called? there has to be more. Talk about sensationalism..pfft...
Gee....mommies already suing...hmmmm....
she should start worrying why her kid is already stealing...

Perhaps Jane should get more information prior to her comments. Perhaps the little boy handcuffed to the chair was in that position due to behaviour. In any case, maybe if he is impacted by this experience, he will stop practicing and perfecting criminal behaviours? The story itself was so brief that it did not give any context as to what happens, and just engenders the sensationalized behaviour Jane has displayed. Anderson Cooper has been a great journalist, and should go back to the type of investigative reporting he once did.

The five year old child held in custody is wrong. The lawsuit filed is wrong and Jane's comments on this crazy lawsuit is wrong.

Just started watching your episode today (the one also showing the story about the woman who was attacked with acid) and you started with the little story about the surfer who's always looking for the bigger wave. You also talked about spending a lot of time on a sea-doo during filming and that you'd woken up that night and found that you'd burnt your eye. At this point you told the audience that someone on your crew gave you a valium (pardon my spelling)! Opps! You took someone's prescription medication! Bad message to send everyone! I've watched many of your shows and have developed a great respect for you and what you have to say. Your content has always been very worthwhile and my respect has remained the same. Please don't let your quality of what you show and talk about decrease. It's so refreshing to watch a show that's real and decent.

P.S. Sorry to hear that your show's been cancelled. Hope to see you on another show/network in the near future.

While watching Tanya's story on your show today, I was interrupted by a phone call, and failed to hear what happened to her "boyfriend". I would hope it would be life without parole.

Re: Jane Velez- Mitchell comments about young boy handcuffed to chair. Your an idiot. You don't know all the facts and for you to blurt out that his mother should be awarded $250 million is just so ridiculous. You have lost all credibility and I could never see your reporting of news objectively anymore.

Is there any chance of the show being renewed next season. I read it wasn't going to be renewed. I really enjoy the show and watch every day.
