I absolutely hated the part where the moms compared the pageants to actual talent. Pageants are nothing like being a competitive dancer, sports player or even cheerleading. Pageants don't take any talent, they are the based upon society's stereotype of beauty, which everyone knows is not always a pretty picture.

I was surprised to see you with a tattoo you seem so clean cut..with every word carefully parsed and infinitive placed and thought nuanced...i recall at work a while ago where a few people lift up their shirts and displayed tattoos..unlike years ago they are much safer although there's something about it..like culture shock...however no longer associated with bikers and other things...just decorative...
Love your show.
You should have interviewed a few Pedophiles and asked them for their views on child pageants. Maybe then the mothers would change their minds.
If you look closely the kid in the biker outfit is giving the other girls 'the finger'. Someone should talk to that girl's mother.
Regarding "Toddlers and Tiara's:"
I just don't understand why America is so concerned with the moms' parenting skills. It's children dressing up like they would for Halloween or just to play with their friends. I do think some parents get a little carried away and end up enjoying the pageant more than their child does but for the most part pageants are harmless. It might be "sexualizing" them to some people and it might be some form of "abuse" to other people but at the end of the day it's neither their life nor is it their child. America should be more concerned with the parenting skills of people who let their children run the streets, do drugs, break laws, and get involved with "gangs."
I really have a problem with the comment made equating prostitutes with biker chicks. This is an extreme insult to the growing community of women riders that I am proud to count myself as a member of. We don't stand on the street corner, we lean into the twists and turns of nice curvy roads.

I have refused to watch shows like this because, as someone who experienced child abuse, this makes me sick and extremely angry. To see moms pushing sexuality onto such young girls is obscene to me. I believe 'natural' pageants are okay, but some mothers go way too far in glitz pageants. Ball gowns are beautiful, but dressing your daughter like a prostitute, biker, or Lady Gaga is absolutely ridiculous. June says that if people look at it as sexualizing the girls that there's something wrong with those people, but that just shows her ignorance and naivety. There ARE people out there that have sexual interest in young girls and they even go after girls who don't look like pageant girls do. Having these girls wear makeup that makes them look older, but they still have the bodies of prepubescents is a dream come true for some pedophiles. It would be horrible to have one of these girls getting abused for these moms to finally open their eyes and see the danger they are putting their daughters in. I'm sure none of these mothers want their daughter to end up like JonBenet Ramsey. If you're going to be a parent, be a responsible one and don't be so ignorant to the dangers in the world. Everyone thinks it'll never happen to them our someone they love, but it can.
Can't get over that drink she is feeding her child! Wonder how many cavities she has. Their is other ways to get energy . Smh!
I think when they did the Mom's make over the two outfits for the moms should have been the above the knee style so they feel more exposed as their children probably do.
I normally like to watch your show. Toddlers & Tiaras is not worthy to be shown as a rerun. I think June is discusting and she should be thinking of what her daughter is gonna be in ten years. A prostitute or a drug addict and discusting just like her mom. A chubby tummy on an 8 year old O.K but on mom horrible. June should be thinking about childhood obesity and diabites.
Are the Toddler and Tiaras Moms aware of such a thing as overdosing on caffiene. There have been college students ending up in hospitals due to overdose of caffiene. Sodas, Energy Drinks, chocolate, etc. They are children and would get more energy if needed from fruits etc. I think they have enough natural energy at that age. If they are 6, 7 and 8 year olds running out of energy they are pushing them to hard. Relax, they are children. Let them be just that!!
These pageant moms really don't think they are teaching their daughters that they have to use their bodies to get anywhere in life? They become accusatory to the audience saying they are over sexualizing their daughters. However, it is a parents job to think about possible dangers to our children, and keep them safe from harm. There are paedophiles out there that are viewing these pictures and shows, and fantasising these children in their sick minds.
I know it's summer but ... New shows please! We those of us who are dedicated viewers, the repeats are seldom enjoyable! New shows PLEASE...AND SOON!
What ever happened to teaching young girls MODESTY??
My comment is regarding the pageant kids on diets and loosing weight. My son, at 8 years old, in the 3r grade, on the football team, had to loose 13 lbs to make "weight" to be on the team. We had to put him on a "diet" and by the time it was the first official weigh-in to begin the season, he made "weight" and everyone stood around and cheered. It was very embarrassing for him especially since he was the only one on the team that had to loose weight. He was able to play football that season. He was weighed in each week before each game and it was quite stressful for him. He played that whole season but did not play this year. We took him to his annual physical and was sent to the Children's Hospital in Boston to see a specialist as his weight from last year to this year had elevated a lot. His doctor is sending him to a weight program at The Children's Hospital. What is the difference between having to loose weight in the Third Grade for football as opposed to loosing weight for pageant?
