Pet Extravaganza
From dogs to cats, sloths to pot-bellied pigs, there’s something for everyone during the hour! Anderson is joined by his dog, Molly, a Welsh Springer Spaniel, and special guest, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Susie Essman with her Shih Tzu, Sumo. “It’s Me or the Dog” host Victoria Stilwell will show how to provide the best dental care for dogs in order to fight doggie breath.
Anderson then meets the infamous Willow the Cat, who made a cross-country trek from Colorado to Manhattan over the past five years, and reunites her with her Colorado family for the first time. Plus, meet the cast of “Doggie Moms,” a reality series that follows a group of New York City women whose lives revolve around their dogs, and then one lucky audience member receives a big surprise!

Dear Anderson,
You should of brought the cat on that has survived for twelve years now with two faces, two mouths, two noses and three eyes. It is the most amazing story. Google it and you will see. Your ratings would go through the roof.
When our Lab was about three years old he began to develop tartar on his teeth and his breath started smelling just awful. AFTER the vet removed the tartar we started brushing EVERY NIGHT and kept it up. Now almost twelve, the dog never had a dental problem again, does still have all his teeth, and a sweet breath. Brushing is key, but an uphill battle if there are tartar deposits. Have the vet remove them first.
I loved today's show about pets! I love my two cats like they really are my children, although I have never fed them anything other than cat food (so don't feel bad).. Maybe I was a cat in a former life-I get more excited about seeing kittens than babies.
As for Sam the snake-maybe it seems a little creepy to some people that you have him "immortalized", but the fact that you father wanted to help you not miss him so much by doing this is the sweetest gesture.
I enjoy your shows but was disappointed with this one as it too as all other shows, it all about dogs. Many people have dogs but many people have cats and other pets! How about doing a show about all other animals except dogs! Many of us have asked about doing a show with ferrets, why not? add rabbits, chinchillas, snakes, birds, rats, hamsters and more. People buy so many of these pets on a whim at a pet shop and dump them or not properly care for them. These animals too, need special care and not all pets for everybody. A show needs to be done to show the pros and cons of these pets and show that they are NOT a THROW-AWAY PET! PLEASE, BEGGING YOU PRODUCERS TO PLEASE HELP IF YOU CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AT ALL. So tired of dog shows. It was refreshing to see the cats as well as the sloth.
About the "professional" dog walker who lost Sassafras. Wow, there should be a poster on every corner reading "Don't let this idiot take care of your pet." His insensitive remark about "not caring what the heck" happens to Sassafras shows his character...or lack thereof. He lost the dog--the least he could do was hunt for it and pay his own costs! What a professional jerk.
Oh god, I am so happy to see you love your dog. I have a HUGE problem, well two huge problems really, Larry and Moe. They are my two great danes. eight years old and healthy. my problem is we are retiring to st croix in spring and CANNOT find a way to take my babies with me. they are too large for airlines and crates on commercial flights. I have been told to find someone with a private plane but i'm just a regular schmoe and i even tried writing john Travolta because he flies and works in the movies where they have to move things all the time and was hoping he would at least tell me where to look or who to ask. Now that I see you care about animals i am hoping that you or your staff may know how this could happen. I can't imagine leaving them behind. I have never deserted an animal in my life and don't want to start now. We have had them since they were two and four weeks old. They are brosins, same dad and different mothers and were born in the same room and have never been apart from each other for more than a vet visit and they have severe separation problems when they are not together. I did not know we were going to retire 8 years ago and i believe that my dogs are my responsibility til the very last breath they take. I have always stayed with my dogs even when they have to be put down because that is when they need you most. I know I want to die in my husbands arms and I believe Larry and Moe deserve that blessing when it's their time to g, to be in my arms ,loved and with someone who loves them and has always loved them from the moment they came into our lives. I am NOT asking for a free ride, just a way to make this happen. PLEASE, if you know how to do this or where to direct me I would be forever thankful. It must be possible but I have searched and searched the internet and called tons of airlines and can't find an answer. time is passing by and I am so afraid that this will be the one thing that will forever scar my retirement.IF THIS QUESTION CAN BE ANSWERED AND I CAN BE BLESSED WITH TAKING THEM WITH ME I WILL BE FOREVER THANKFUL Someone must know the answer to this problem that seems so huge to me at this time. I AM TRULY BEGGING FOR AN ANSWER. Someone must know, they move elephants and tigers around the world and all i want is to take responsibility for two lives that I took on eight years ago with a promise to love them and care for them as long as they were here on this world. people have suggested rescue, but they might be separated from each other and that would not be fair to them. I have even had people tell me to put them down early so they don't suffer. How could I ever do that? I would suffer for the rest of my life because they are not an inconvienience you just get rid of when you,re done with them. My prayer is to take care of them and love them until their time is up on their own accord. MY LAST DANE, Merlin, lived for 13 years and died in my arms.I pray I can give these boys that same luxury. PLEASE, PLEASE I just need information. I would be FOREVER thankful. Just a fan of yours, Cathy Cornette
I am so intrigued by your little fluffy schnauzer puppy--i'm truly and passionatley intrested in adopting little "Poncho"--I had a miniature one before and am now single, living as a bi-polar woman and need a companion to love and adore. He looked at me through tv land and wants me for his "mommy"--I have no money to get him here, but i will love him and take care of him every moment. He will be my best friend. Give me a chance so we can "find each other" in life! Nancy
want to so desperately adopt sweet fluffy schnauzer for my life-long pet and friend. I used to have a "Poncho" puppy schnauzer and he unfortunatley was kiled in an accident. I am a single bi-polar woman and cannot get him here to MO., but will love him immensely and we "need each other." Give me a change to have a sweet pet to love and care for. I need him in my life. Nancy
I'm interested in the schnauzer dog on the show today. please contact me.
Feed Molly Pedigree Dent-A-Stix and Pedigree Breath Busters. Will really make a difference in her breath!!
You don't like green vegetables, but you actually put doggie toothpaste in your mouth. YUCK!!! I had a family relative who actually ate an ice cream cone after her dog. Now that's gross.
I was let down by your show today. I did watch, but I have contacted your show at least twice about my horrific situation and can't believe you're spending time on dogs. I'm sorry for sounding rude, I just need help and feel you could be doing so much more. I hope the family finds Sassofrass, but I feel 10k was an outragous amount of money to spend on a lost dog...some of us are dealing with racism, having no family but a dog, hungry and scared of not being able to pay the rent. I supose I'm just sad and feeling like a marter. I have two apple-head tea cup chiwawas and actually thought I lost one once...went into a busy street screaming like my child had been kidnapped. Turns out she was under a pillow. You should name that cute little sloth (?) moogley.
I want to adopt the little brown Schnauzer on the show today
I love, love, love my Blue and gold Macaw, my Quaker parrot, my cat and my two dogs! My cat, dogs and Quaker are all rescues.
Hey there Mr. Cooper,
I love that you are doing this show. Everyone needs a dose of animals on TV every now and then. I very much respect your work and my request here is probably something you are planning to do anyway, but I wouldn't feel I did my part if I didn't write. I see from the preview that you will be having a sloth on the show. I do hope the appearance will come with a statement saying how these and all other wild animals are indeed wild and should remain so. A lot of times, people get it in their heads that just because an animal is cute, it is acceptable to purchase them as pets and I'm sure you know there is a demand for exotics on the black market. I'm sure tomorrow's show will be a lot of fun to watch.
