Mary Hamer is unfortunately an extremely unwell person... it appears she is suffering from some type of Mental Health issue... although I am not qualified to make that diagnosis, but I think Anderson should get someone to talk to her. She seems very delusional. Also, I must say that I, and others I am sure, were very insulted with her statements about PTSD.. she should keep quiet about things she knows nothing about (which could include the entire interview.

Mary Hamer has serious co-dependancy problems. Joran will say anything and everything to convince her to keep sending money. Mary is obsessed with Joran and will say anything and everything to defend what she is doing. She'll realize(or maybe not)years from now that this guy is using her. It's a sad situation with no happy ending.

Mr.Anderson,
Friday was the first time I saw your show on TV. I loved it! I know have it DVR'd I raising my granddaughter and when your on is when she get gets home. TV goes off until she has homework done.
I watched the Friday one is that lady for real. If she looked at his face and how he was smerking it just made want to throw something. She is a Radiologist, not a shrink. Van der Sloot, is no more in shock then the man and the moon.
She must be living in a dream world. For her to compare herself to Lady Diane, and the other ones she mentioned is an insult in their memory. She really can't see what Van Der Sloot is. He has gotten hold of her and is reeling her in for everything he can get.
Who does she think she is to contact the families of his two victims. She has no right to do it.
She is really unthinkable.
I did like what you said and your audiance.
Thanks for being on TV and best of luck.

I so enjoy your show and I have friends that are also now enjoying your show. Boy that doctor who is helping the guy in prison in South America she has a few loose rocks in her head. I do not think you will convince her that she is crazy because she is. The only thing I am sad about is I enjoyed you when you co-host with Kelly Ripa and now that you have a day time talk show you would not be available for her show since Regis left. That is when I first starting watching you on Anderson Cooper 360.... You are doing a great job keep it up. You are the greatest. Love your Mom tooooooo

I love you Anderson but when you put on a fruit loop, continually, like Dr. Hamer, I get so totally turned off of watching your show that I can't believe you are falling for her deranged hoopla. I was so disappointed when you had her on again. The first time you had her on was hard enough to watch, but when you brought her back YET AGAIN didn't you learn from the first time that she's making North American's by her ignorant rants and her claiming outrageous claims like being the Princess Di? Seriously Anderson where is your journalism going. You used to be so much fun to watch and now you're turning into a daytime soap opera. Enough of the garbage, and this isn't the first episode that was horrible, may episodes have not been great. Do real journalism please. I am normally not one to comment on these useless boards but really, I couldn't believe she was on again. In my head I was going: well Anderson is either turning into Maury or the ladies on The Talk. Come on Anderson and your producers I think that you can produce better shows then this. Journalist to journalist I think you can come up with some better stories.

Dear Anderson,
I love your show. Dr. Hamer is N U T S, but I think you know that. Her comparing herself to Gandhi and MLK is delusional and offensive. However, I was mesmerized - as I was the first time she was on - because it's kind of like watching a train wreck. Clearly she has more money than brains; The more she talks, the more unraveled she becomes. I cannot imagine whatever medical practice pays her salary continuing to employ such a mentally unstable staff member! I'll bet your ratings were through the roof with this episode, and I genuinely look forward to seeing more of this wacko. The crazed look in her ever-bloodshot eyes just screams: "CERTIFIABLE". I think the Peruvian government should put an ankle monitor on VanDerSloot and let him move in with the doctor. They deserve each other. It would be a just punishment for them both! (PS Beth Holloway should get a restraining order against this "guardian evil", because she's not giving up).
Keep up the great programming--we love you! ;-) Too bad you don't read these e-mails. LOL

Hi Anderson,
I really hope this message reaches you personally. I've been a huge fan of yours for years, and I've always admired your journalistic integrity, your interview style, and your kindness, which is why I am really troubled and disappointed by your show today that featured Mary Hamer for a second time. As a mental health professional (psychiatrist), it is quite obvious that this woman has a clear psychiatric disorder known as delusional disorder. While people who suffer from this disorder can appear to function normally in many areas of their lives, they are completely incapable of insight when it comes to their specific delusional belief system. No amount of confrontation or reasoning can possibly shift their disordered thinking. As such, for you to continue to try to reason with her, while the audience watched while shaking their heads in shocked disapproval was truly cruel. Whether you realize this or not (and I'm really hoping you did not) this mentally disturbed woman was made the object of disdainful ridicule for the amusement of your national audience. Telling her you were not judging her, but were only trying to understand was less than honest. Once was hard enough to watch, but at least the first time it was in the context of a broader subject. Bringing her back for round two was outrageous. It was so out of character for who I always believed you to be, and what I thought your show was about. I truly hope this type of content was an aberration and not a trend.

I would be interested in knowing if the Dr guardian angel has suffered professionally, She is so out of touch with reality I think if I was in her area & referred to her I would request a different DR. She just seems crazed.

Great. Anderson argues with a woman who's clearly mentally unstable for an entire hour. He also laughs at her. Another great show.

Mary Hamer needs psychiatric care. She has no life so she is fixed on a murderer who has manipulated her to the tenth degree. Sad. Bet she never gets her bail money back.

I think all Ms. Hamer wants is getting publicity. Otherwise she could have done this quietly and discreetly.

Wow I am ashamed at Anderson, why would you entertain that wack job lady?(I believer her name was Mary) Either way this nut contradicted herself throughout that portion of the show....She was scared for her life she couldn't leave for the trial because of a death threat...but then said She would stand up for this even if she gets killed....Hmmmmm. Then she tries to answer the question using looked up facts that had nothing to do with the answer. Please don't bring her back again... Really you are just stroking her messed up mental challenged mind....giving her validation to keep going!

I think a show should do something positive not to use a crazy person to get ratings..this is the first time I have watched this show and will never do it again!
