Aloha Anderson:
I want to say Thanks for sharing these helpful hints on how to save yourself from further distruction. As I have had a similar incident with ID theft, but, by someone I knew, ended up calling the credit people and let them know it wasn't me, as well as all the information I had on the person of interest. My saving grace was the address on the credit card, was from a different state, that I have not lived in for years. At the same rate, I just recently received another dept collection, by mail, referring to an account that can only be over ten years old, that has been since reconsiliated. As I have since, account free, and handle all my bills, by cash only. As I have done so for years, this gap in my credit, has made it hard to reestablish, for the instances of such, teeth, or dog bite, occation that might come up, this I find to be the only downfall. As I am up-to-date with all my bills, and usually pay my rent, months at a time, depending on my financials per quarter.
I am interested in finding out if I have covered all my points in regards to ID/CREDIT theft, I have gone down to the TAX people had my SSI run, to make sure that their has not been no advantage, but, want to make sure that all accounts are clear for my name and number via credit, just to make sure. If you could be so kind as to let me know if there is anything else neccessary I would be forever greatful!
Thanks for allowing to use this as another way to get better at my E-Mail soft-spot. :)
Thank You,
Michelle Johnson

Thanks I just got done adding something here a minute ago, without looking at the board, my bad, I am just getting the hang of this, as it is my first week at this, so please be pacient. I hope with some practice I too will get the hang of things.
Dear Anderson,
I saw your show today 6/20/12 on theft and scams. You stated to go to Internet and you would have some free things and talked about app for phone etc. Well I signed on, there was a give a way about today's show but they ended 6/17 before it aired. I try never to miss your show, it's so refreshing from all the other stuff. Thank you for allowing us to share in your life, you are funny, smart, and real.
Respectfully

P.S. I am 65, tell your mom she makes me feel old cause she looks so young. Gracious woman
I watch your show and on June 20th there was a man that won a lawsuit against a Debt collector and now has his own non profit.
I had my ID stolen by a VP bank in Minneapolis, MN. My excellent credit was destroyed , one of my investment properties was foreclosed (loss over 81,000 in equity) and now each and every credit card (previously with credit limits of 18,000- ) all are suing me for the debt even with the ID theft report/theft /fraud report sent certified mail. I'm constantly bullied and fear losing my home as well.

Who was the man on Cooper's Wednesday show that sued a collection agency and what is his web address?
Hi Anderson, I love you show! I got a phone call this week saying he was my grandson and was in Canada attending a friends mothers funeral and needed some money to get home. I knew it wasn't any of my grandsons voices so I asked a bunch of questions and when I asked his name he couldn't answer and hung-up. I am so thankful your program was about this and know it will help lots of people. Can you send the 10 ways or website so I can give it to several neighbors.
How could I obtain those security sleeves you mentioned on your show?

Anyone can be a victim of identity theft. Perhaps the best identity theft protection plan available today is LegalShield's Identity Theft Shield. Their plan provides the following coverage for you and your spouse for only $12.95 per month ($15.95 for all three credit reporting agencies):
1. Your up-to-date credit report based on data from Experian.
2. Your personal credit score and analysis.
3. Continuous monitoring and alerts if anything changes.
4. Identity Theft Consultation and Restoration Services.
That last item is a huge benefit. They actually assign a licensed investigator to consult with you and, with your permission, they will work on your behalf to correct identity theft issues and restore your credit. Saving you time, money and stress from trying to do it yourself.

i am watching your show on scams right now. and wanted to share another; I was served a summons for a debt that i am saying is not mine from over 18 years ago which was used under my former married name; i've used my maiden name now for 18 years. there has never been a collection reported on me; but now it will cost me legal fee to answer plus filing fee. if i don't answer- they automatically win from date of supposed debt to now at 9%. they said i acknowledged the debt in 2006 by making a payment; this did not happen. They got me by the balls.
