Anderson!! I've always thought tv talk shows were mostly the same, but your heart is truly wonderful! I know how much good you did for that school, and the family with the Dad you brought home... God bless, and have a fantastic holiday for yourself, too!

I love your show, I loved you when you were on CNN. I am thankful for waking up each day, for my health, and being able to take care of myself. I am also thankful for my family, and wish collectively each and every person and wonderful Thanksgiving. Bless you and your Mom.

I am thankful that Anderson now has a day time show and is not giving up AC 360.... Oh, and my family, of course. :)

I was thrilled to see the reunion of an American soldier with his family, but you fell into the proverbial romantic trap: a soldier who is overseas and yet still able to communicate with his family - in this case via Skype - and is actually able to come home. When my son, who is a private in the Canadian infantry, first told me that he was being deployed to Afghanistan, I pictured him at the base in Khandahar, having a Timmies every morning and then going off to work. This is the picture that most of us have - a brave, but relatively civilized excursion, alleviated somewhat by regular connections to home via internet or phone.
In fact, my son was outside the base, all the time, on patrol and/or guarding checkpoints. He/we had no access to phone calls, let alone Skype. He was able to call out twice in 8 months. He is back now, and fine - but I now know that if you are to honour your soldiers and their families, you should think carefully about who you choose, and should specifically acknowledge those who are or were actually in the "trenches" and not able to skype or call or get leave to come home.

Thanksgiving and the "turkey" story is an old, dumb, cruel lie (ask any indigenous American); why perpetuate such drivel?

Now here's a real "bird" story for you that has a little more substance. Can your glib audience handle it or are they, already, too stuffed-up to think or care?

Okay, you ended this show waaaaaaaay too soon.

What we really wanted to know is if Anderson thought Jamie's turkey was better than his usual daily fare?????

I just wanted to say love this show so far.... Relaxed... Informative and aNderson rocks .... Talented journalist and a wonderful manner that connects through a tough impersonal media form
As ateacher I have dealt first hand with students who have not much to eat . It is a hidden problem sometimes because children have ways to cover up ... Borrow food from their friends , say they ate already etc. I have always kept a snack cupboard , had cooking our way through the curriculum and in many schools I have taught in , had baskets out on the office counter for the taking. We have had breakfast clubs and nutrition break centres where anyone can go and bring back a big slice of fruit we try to make bad situation a good one... Feed kids with dignity , compassion and fun!!!
Hats of to Blessings in a backpack!!! I am thankful for this.
