My mum died of cancer a few years ago and I really miss her. She always seemed to get herself in embarrassing situations. One winter she was running to catch a bus. The bus driver noticed her and patiently waited for her. As she caught up with the bus she skidded in the snow and fell down. She got up and ran past the bus!

I lost my Mom when she was just 49 yrs o****e. My fondest memory is her singing to me cute growing-up little songs. I passed some of those on to my daughters. I had two daughters and lost my first born (she was 42 yrs) ten months ago on the 13th/May and I miss her every day! She left us from a very rare heart disease that is mostly not diagnosed or goes undiagnosed/misdiagnosed (LDAC). Your show today was very inspring for me.

I just wanted to say since my own mother left due to divorce when I was 12 and I never saw her again I could somehow relate to your mother Anderson. It made me cry when you were telling us about her background(which I saw on a previous show of yours also). Gloria you have raised such a special wonderful man in Anderson. Anderson you seem like such a gentle, caring, man. I am surprised you are not in a relationship. Granted, you are a busy man so that is probably why but you would make any woman happy I am sure!!! And Gloria you have been such a strong role model for many women plus your son. God Bless You and Your Family!!!

My favorite "Mom Memories" could fill a book. And yeah, she'd love seeing me on t.v. as we haven't seen each other in over 6 years. Cracking up watching segment with Gloria Vanderbilt... Anderson's mom is so wonderful.

Dear, Anderson,
I can't think of one special memory alone that defined my mother and my relationship. My mother passed away December 17th, 2010 from a sudden Pulmonary Embolism. She is my hero and always will be. We shared the darkest secrets together and never judged any circumstances that occured in both of our lives. I did reflect on the show today with knowing your Mother is Gloria Vanderbelt. My Mom, loved her clothing, and I always received her old clothes when she replenished hers. I have never been one into materialistic items, growing up in a saving, middle-class family. I have been divorced 7 years now, and have huge trust issues regarding my previous marriage. I have 2 beautiful and intelligent daughters, Ella who is 10, finishing 4th grade in a few weeks, and Ava is 8, finishing 2nd grade. I have struggled with addiction off and on for 25 years and been placed in 7 + treatment facilities for severe depression, alcoholism, and Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome. I have not been able to hold a job because of my severe depression and such great resentment for getting more help. I just want my girls to want to spend time with me without the distractions of their father who spends thousands of dollars to occupy them with electronics, luxurious vacations, and the freedom to choose their wants on a daily basis.
I am trying to raise my girls old-fashioned with crafts, games, limited TV, and limited electronics. I have had Ella, our 10 year old involved in Psychological Therapy for the past 3 years with her anger issues. I just need a little professional advice from a third party. I really enjoy watching your show, and the real life content that is displayed.
Sincerely,
Karla

Anderson I have cried alot in my day and this show made me cry from the beginning to the end. Your mom is one heck of a woman and to work the way she did and to raise you and taking it and turning negatives into a positive and keep going. You and your mother are role models to the world. Thank you for doing your show and bring things to us that we need to clear the air.
I hope one day you will do a show about homeless people.

My favorite memory of my mom is when we went to New York City. She made sure that I had plenty to do. She would get me tickets to the broadway shows and also to the TV show. The shopping trips to Maceys were great. And I wish that I could say Happy Mother's Day one more time.

My mother was a strong independent person. She brightened any room and made all who knew her smile. She was the recipient of a liver transplant in 2006. She was a grandmother to a wonderful bright teenage sweetheart I call my niece and she became a grandmother again to the miracle baby I call my son. She sadly lost her battle after four years and declined a second chance transplant. Her words were " I do not want to take someone elses second chance" I miss her every day and remember her as a selfless friend and a wonderful Nana. I can only hope I am half the mother to my son as she was to me. Loving you and missing you every day momma.

The greatest memory I have of my mom is that she worked her behind off to support 5 kids by herself with no child support back in the day. She never would let us quit and would always tells us if you do it you will live and learn from your mistakes because you won't listen to wait I have told you anyways. She is a hard loving mother and a hard worker. She maybe didn't show us love or hugs in kisses growing up but she taught us to work hard and never give up. You will finish what you started and move on in life. Never give up

The other great memory of my mother is when I called her and was crying and told her that I just found out my dad had cancer and he was going to die. This man beat my mother and left her to raise 5 kids on her own back in the 70's. After 38 years and never knowing my father I was contacted by a man who found my dad living on the streets in CA. I went and met my dad and he came home to live with me. He was all messed up but back to my mom. I called her and was crying in Jan 2010 to tell her about my dad and yet she didn't stop at nothing and was on her way out here in Feb 2010 to help me take care of my dying dad. My dad passed in April 2011 and my mother was right with me till the end with my dad. She is the reason today Im a rock and opened hearted to help those who need to be helped. I can never repay or thank her enough for coming out to help me from a man who left her and beat her and never enough gave a crap about his kids and she is one hell of a mother. I love you mom!

My favorite memory is not of my mother at that time but...My fondest memories each year for Mother's Day is the birth of my youngest child. This year his birthday falls the day after (he was born on Mother's Day). Not a day goes by that I do not think of my son. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2008 at the age of 18. From that year forward I have carried him in my heart. It would be a blessing to visit him in addition to my other children but unable due to lack of transportation. I am in another state and it has been 3 yrs since I have had the chance to visit my son. So I continue to hold my son even closer to my heart this year. Continued blessings.............One of your biggest fans!!
