I watched the show yesterday about the Salvation Army bell ringer and the jewelry store. I would like to know the name of the business. The necklace Sarah had on may have been one of his pieces and I would like to check. It was lovely!

I thought Sarah, from Portsmouth, New Hampshire had every right to get to a point where she was fed up with hearing those Salvation Army bells all day long. Just because someone proclaims to be 'doing good' doesn't mean they can do no wrong. (The Salvation Army is bigotted in their own way against anything or anyone other than Christian ppl and principles). The public are too quick to jump to the defense of religious activities versus the rights of others. I used to give generously to the Salvation Army, but once I did some research on them, no more....Don't let the religious hypocrites get you down, Sarah. You did nothing wrong.

I feel sorry for the poor girl(who will never live down being called a Grinch), who called police concerning the Salvation Army bell ringing. Living in the centre of town inn Montreal, I can tell you that I would have gladly paid some of the musicians who played on my street corner to go away. Repetitive noises/songs however well intended can drive one crazy after awhile. A solution may be that the Salvation Army choose different locations every year./ I sympathize with the guest. Four years!! come on really!!!!! Happy holidays!

Listening to the salvation bells all day almost sends me home from work sick. Nothing bad about the salvation army but when they ring them all the time about 5 feet from where you work it gives you a splitting headache. They are inside a store so they don't have to ring the bell to bring their attention to the customers.

The fact that the Salvation Army does good work for the poor does not excuse the fact that the extremely loud bell ringing is annoying when I am out shopping and have to listen to them all day. I cannot imagine having to listen to them all day long every day. Instead of making the girl go out and ring the bell, you should have made the Salvation Army person and the store owner and city council sit beside a bell ringer all day, every day for 1 week!

I'm commenting on today's segment about the Salvation Army bell. I support the Salvation Army 100%. It is my favorite charity and I think they do exceptional work. I always donate to them, whether I hear the bells and drop bills in the pot or write a check to send them, and I make material donations to their collection site. However, I felt the young woman on your show was dealt with unfairly. Her explanation of the ear-splitting bell ringing continuously outside the shop where she worked, resounding off the plate glass, was understandable. Not one person mentioned that the pot could possibly have been moved a ways down the street or farther away from the glass windows. No one seemed in any way to understand how brain-pounding that could be, hour after hour throughout the holiday season. I felt very bad for her. Even the representative from the Salvation Army seemed harsh, unsmiling, not offering a solution or compromise. It was as though everyone was afraid of public disapproval and therefore didn't speak up in her behalf. She is now going out of her way to put up with it and to volunteer, perhaps in respect for the organization, in order to get her reputation back, and not lose her job. I think I would feel the same way she did about the constant ringing. Anderson, I think you or someone should have said something understanding about her and the situation.

I feel terrible that the lady who called about the Salvation Army bell ringing- ended up apologizing let alone made to go ring a bell outside the show. She may have volunteered to do all the amazing things she did on the show and about her call to remedy the situation but stress from sounds can be very debilitating. I struggle with the sound of a fan running. To her defense, a future show that features how sounds can be stressful, affect blood pressure, produce anxiety, etc. would only be fair to her. I was very bothered at how she had to maintain her composure and do what she did. I felt like she was being scolded and punished. There have been displays of how parents humiliate their children publicly lately and I believe she was being treated likewise. My heart went out to her. I commend her for her professionalism.

enjoy watching Anderson Cooper. Salvation Army person said they don't get many complaints about their bell ringers. I would say this is because we don't know who to complain to like this young lady found out. Just because it is a good organization doesn't make the bell ringing any less obnoxious. I will avoid stores in order to avoid the noise and bell ringers. I mail checks or donate on-line not at these type of venues. I hate the bell ringers even though I have been asked to volunteer with them before.

If Anderson is going to be cancelled, I will no longer watch the View, the Talk or any of those except Ellen. He is so good. Is this because he came out!! How stupid, he is so real!
