I am up set that the neighbor called the police instead of voicing her concern to the mother. I'm even more upset that the police arrested this Mom for something so stupid. I hope the judge throws it out of court. The kids were playing. She wasn't starving them, or beating them, nor did she leave them home alone. Do we not live in a free country? Yes people kidnap kids, and that would be awful but we as parents try to teach our kids using baby steps that we trust them enough to do what they are asked to do. Playing in full view of a bay window with Mom checking on them is one way to do that. Thoughts to the neighbor, get off you unsocial a** and get to know your neighbor enough to tell if she is a good mother or a bad mother. Don't sit in your glass house and pass judgment and then call the police.

I watched the show for the first time yesterday because my DVR is set to tape anything with Bethenny. I enjoyed it but ended feeling bad for the mother that let her children play outside. I don't think it was fair to have her on and then have the lady in the audience from the Missing Children organization stand up and berate her. The mother was obviously at a lost for words. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Love Martin Short, a big improvement on Bethanny, but I liked the format last year much better. You don't need a co host!

I really would of like to of heard more about Jamie Hilton and her story, instead of so much about your annoying co-host Bethenny. You are much too kind to allow her to keep interrupting while you talk! Which is why you are skilled at what you do. Don't EVER allow her back, as she is rude, self centered, and talks way too fast to really understand!

Back to the story about Jamie, that was a real touching story, and I thank you for sharing her story and for the kind gift that you and Club Med presented her with.

Please stop using co-hosts. It's taking away from your show and makes it about them and not the guest. Also what I have noticed is that you are running out of time a lot. Maybe less is more? The segment about the mom was WAY to short. Less about the co-hosts and more about your guests would be better.

Now I wonder what was more traumatizing to the kids. Playing outside without mom being outside or seeing mom hauled off in handcuffs by the police right before or during bedtime? I'm sure the kids have figured out why their mom went to jail and it would not surprise me if they are afraid to play outside now because they don't want mom to get in trouble and go back to jail. I am not saying the claim by neighbors should have been ignored but this could have been handled so much better. I totally agree with Anderson. I don't think the world is worse then it was 50 years ago. We just know about more things today because of the media.

I can't believe what that poor mom who let her kids play outside has had to endure. We can't let our kids play outside alone?? Really??? Our children have the right to grow up aware of the potential dangers in our world but they also are born with the right to live and grow into independence and self confidence. I believe we need to give our children safe parameters to learn and grow in while always being aware of what they are doing. Can they potentially be subjected to a dangerous situation? Yes. Children are killed in car accidents while riding with their parents everyday, do we now arrest parents for driving their children to school? Of course not. We as parents are tasked with loving our kids enough to let them grow up to be independent and make smart decisions while still being there to watch over them and provide safe environments for their growth. I would hate to be responsible for teaching a child to be afraid of the world. By the way, I have suffered the loss of a child. It was a medical condition but if i had the chance to raise that child he would have been given the opportunity to go out and feel free and excited about life. I would have watched from the background and revelled in his confidence just as i did with his brother and sisters

I love your show but PLEASE do me a favoe and NEVER ask Bethenny Frankel back. She was so obnoxious. Put the mom accused of leaving her kids alone on the defensive. Who made her the mom of the year? She mentioned that she will probably never get her own show, well I hope not. She is way too opinionated for my liking. She loves herself so I guess that's all that counts cause I doubt that many others do.

On a good note, you are doing an amazing job on your show. I even tape it.

OMG!!!!! I am so angry right now. How could you let this happen
Anderson. You did not have control of the interview with Tammy.
Don't let me get started on Bethany. Tammy was speechless of your questioning. You asked her what she has learned!!!! She has nothing to apologize for. This should have never happened to her and her beautiful children. What has this world come too?? Tammy needs to fight back to the fullest.

Bethany was a terrible co-host. Who does she think she is. Your show is bettr without a co-host.

Seriously in America parents can't let their children play outside anymore!? Is someone forgetting that the world is not "child proof" a child must be "world proof". How are we teaching them to survive situations if they have to be monitored 24/7?

Fifty years ago I was followed by a man who tried to get me into his vehicle. I was five, but my mother had taught me not to talk to strangers...I kept walking and didn't stop to talk to him. Parents warn your children but do not smother them! Why bring children into the world at all if they can't play and be just kids.

A little girl witnessed seeing her mother in handcuffs, and taken away by police--that to me is abusive and damaging to that child. I cannot believe this situation...

Please...Bethany is so overprotective. I am a teacher...and we are coddling these kids. Whatever happened to common sense? Poor Tammy Cooper. Obviously, I support Tammy. We have too much "policing" going on.

Anderson, I have considerable knowledge of what the police and CPS does in this country to harass innocent parents and allow guilty parents to kill or maim children. You need to read up on this and learn to ask the right questions when you have a guest such as today's on your show. You showed a complete lack of insight into the issue here and not only didn't get the right message out to the your audience of millions, but got NO message out. Do you have any idea of the trauma that this lady's children experienced when she was hauled off to jail? This segment was handled with zero focus upon "why did you invite her?"

I'm sorry but I realize we are in 2012 now and times are a little different now in many ways BUT please I live in a Cul-de-sac and most of the kids in our circle here let our kids play in front of our hours for hours. Usually we had one if not two paraents somewhere in the yard watching or we had them in sight. As they got older they played kick ball and then hoops. If you can't let your kids play outside in your yard or font area then you must move from that area. This is really sad to me that we have to be huvvering over our kids like they are in lock up. I undersatnd if you live on a street where anyone can drive through but a cul de sac? Give this Mom a break and for the cops to lock her up I just don't understand where we are going as a community anymore, no trust, just money driven country and county anymore. And for everyone to get in your business is upsettingto me. I think these nosy people need to take a stand on what our kids are waching and seeing on the streets and in the schools. Take a look at that!!

Two years ago, my two children (ages 5 and 6) were removed due to a totally false and malicious complaint by a neighbor that did not like us. It was Memorial Day weekend, so it was FIVE days until I could go to court and prove that it was a lie. My kids and I are still traumatized by this. The system needs to change in regards to anonymous DSS complains.
