Surprised by all of the Anne Hathaway bashing that's been going on since February's Oscars ceremony, Anderson passionately defends the "Les Misérables" Oscar winner, pointing out that she seems to be "a perfectly lovely person" who is "incredibly talented." He thinks people need to give her a break, considering they don't really know the real Anne.

I think the whole topic of Anne Hathaway "love her or hate her" is ridiculous. None of us know any celebrity. I love her movies. 'Especially One Day'. I think she was very brave to shave all her hair off for a movie. Shows she loves and respects her craft. You shouldn't have 'feelings' one way or the other on a person you don't know. For instance I Love Andersons Show. I am very sad that it has been cancelled. I always loved it when he filled in to co-host with Kelly Ripa. It's nice to see his fun side (and that laugh!) and his friendship with Kathy Griffin! I, however, do not love Him or hate him as I do NOT know him. Get it?? Oh, BTW, her nipples were not showing, that was the way the dress was cut. The same thing happened to Kelly Ripa and there certainly was no huge uproar over that at all. Happy Trails :)

Ms. Anne Hathaway is a very talented young actress, very sophisticated, who has never been in trouble nor is she trashi like many, many, many Hollywood actors and actresses, without having to waste my time nor my energy by mentioning their names. I have follow her carrier since she was a young girl, she has worked with Hollywood's legent like Merryl Streep and Julie Andrews. My opinion is that those people who criticized her are just plain and simple...JEALOUS!!!!!!

I don't think she's ugly and I don't think she's beautiful, she's alright. You know just because a movie is great it doesn't mean the leading actor or the leading actress made it possible. most of the time it the actors and the actress that were around them make it possible to be great.

Since Ann did Broke Back Monutain and Flashed her Breasts for all the world to see. I felt then she needed attention and was trying to get out of the Good Princess roles. Since watching her through the years with her over acting in real life , flashing her vagina wearing NO panties and then showing her breasts in another outfit, besides wearing that dress at the awards seeing her nipples coming through it. Ann is still trying to get attention and is seeking it anyway but then acts dumb about it. Ann will definitely need medication for some type of disorder in the years to come. Ann...STOP OVER ACTING IN YOUR ROLES AND ESPECIALLY IN REAL LIFE. YOUR MARRIED, ACT LIKE IT AND JUST BE REAL. PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO GET REALLY ANNOYED WITH YOUR PERSONALITY. I was extremely happy to hear you say this on the show. I was outraged at Terrence's comments on Ann Hathaway. In this day and age of bullying and the horrible and tragic effects it has on our youth, and given the fact that being gay, Terrence must have also been a target of bullying himself, I am shocked at his statements. Even Perez Hilton has toned down his cattiness and mean tweets. Why would you disparage a person because they are successful or her dress or speech wasn't up to his expectations? I would like to hear an apology from both him and the other female producer. Outrageous behavior.
It's not that people are jealous,they just expect more of her because she usually dresses cute. I personally think she's pretty and has class.
The normal every day american does not hate Anne Hathaway, it is the media that hates her. They are the ones making the headlines, not the good americans.
Anne Hathaway is an exceptional individual. The fact is she intimidates the fakers and dull witted females therefore, the negative comments. Her presence in any room adds an additional dimension of class and refinement where none existed with the regular tramps in attendance. It's a refreshing and yet nostalgic addition to hollywood that has not been seen in many years. The lack of capitalization to the word hollywood is in fact intentional.
You can bet the reason a lot of people who hate her, is only because they think it's popular to hate her, and for really no other reason. And if they soon find it's popular to defend her, they will certainly jump ship. What they will certainly refuse to even consider, is think for themselves.
Has Anne Hathaway actually done anything to them personally that should cause them to hate her? do any of them realize that hate is just a form of fear? So what could their fear possibly be? Perhaps a fear that someone else won't think they're cool? A fear that someone else won't think they know who it's cool to hate?
I don't love or hate Anne because I don't know her- and chances are YOU don't either. You may have interviewed her, met her, even hung out, but very few people know her. I'm not saying your opinion is wrong, but we're all entitled to our own view and if she or Jennifer Lawrence, or Halle Berry, or Meghan Fox rub us the wrong way it's our prerogative.
