I buy almost everything except food and clothing from online auctions. .Most people aren't aware of the almost unbelievable deals that they can get from online auction sites. Ther site that has best deals is http://savebang.com
and I checked with the Better Business Bureau and was told that it is all legitHow they can sell gift
cards, laptops, cameras, and all kinds of goodies that we all want for 50-90% off, I don't know. I do
know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my husband a $250 Loews gift
cards for $48.Why would I even think about shopping anyplace else?
.
I have NEVER written in about a TV show but today I was so upset I felt that i needed to respond to the Realtor eposide. I thought the Realtor "expert" was wrong on each and every aspect of her advise. I have been inspecting pools as a part of home inspections for 29 years and the fact that she said to not use your Realtors reference is so off base. Good inspectors stay in business because we build repore as being the BEST in the business. We inspect every situation on the basis of protecting the BUYER not the Realtor! The inspector is responsible for thier findings not the Realtor! Are job is to disclose any and all problems that we percieve as needing attention....I was so appauled at her advise and she needs to stick to what she knows but it aint a Realtor export! Anderson that was the worst eposide, I would be happy to come on to your show and show you how its really done and what buyers should ask of Realtors and inspectors! Signed, Appauled!
I too, used my realtor's inspector. That was a REALLY bad idea! He gave the roof a 3 year lifespan. I moved in on Labor Day weekend. By Monday I had a pot catching rain by the fireplace, one in the hallway, and another one ON THE STOVE! I had the roof completely removed and redone once it dried out! Talk about a disaster! But, she was my friend from way back, ha! She even got me one of those awful loans! I'm going thru the modification process via NACA now! Crashed my credit rating, and no guarantee they will EVER redo this loan! I'm so frustrated and sad!
SORRY! I'll stop venting now! Just tell everyone to exercise some serious precaution! Pay attention and READ EVERYTHING! Get a lawyer if you don't understand, it's worth it!
I am appalled at the insinuation that Realtors(R) are dishonest while showing a house. I am a Realtor(R) working in the Northern California area for more than 10 years, successfulling selling with no deception to the buyers. Being a Realtor(R) is a very difficult job, with the intent to protect the buyers and sellers from bogus lawsuits. Realtors(R) have value in that they are responsible for getting the disclosures and reports due their buyers on time according to contract. True there are good and bad in every profession, but if an agent is willing to pay the dues to show they are honest buy taking an oath to uphold the "Realtor(R)Code Of Ethics", which is like the Golden Rule, they might be in better hands than paying a lawyer for the service of getting them through escrow. The public does not need to be any more scared than need be while going through the house buying process. Thank you very much! BTW, the word Realtor(R) is a registered name.
You have portrayed all Real Estate Agents as unscrupulous and liars. You have made all buyers out to be complete idiots. I was livid after watching this segment. I do not lie to my clients or misrepresent the homes that I have listed for sale. If I did that I would not have all the repeat business that I have. There is no need for buyers to randomly check all appliances and water pressure of a home just because they walked in unless they want to buy that home. The buyers get a home inspection done and the inspector checks everything from top to bottom. And to suggest that the home inspectors will lie and misrepresent a home so they can get more business from the agents is a total outrage. I have been a Real Estate Broker in Orange County, New York for many many years and not once has an inspector done that because he wanted to get more business from me. I cannot believe you said that. The inspectors that i have worked with would never do that for more business. They get paid by the buyers and their loyalty is to them not the agents. I dont know who Barbara has worked with and what kind of business she has done but that is not how I work or how the agents whom I have worked with over the years conduct their business. It is outrageous for you to put that out there that Real Estate agents are not honest and do not care about their clients. This was irresponsible to put this segment on as you did.
