Dear Mr. Harvey,
My name is Arthur Wright and I am sending this letter to you humbly and respectfully and will make it as short as possible. In 2009 I was diagnosed with cardiomyapathy which is a heart condition that most people drop dead from with no warning. Thankfully, I was able to detect mine and get the treatment I needed. In the subsequence months there after I was taken off work in April 2009, as I could no longer work with the condition and I applied for social Security Disability in May 2009. I was not eligible for unemployment do to the fact I “voluntarily” gave up my job according to them so the only source of income was my wife’s at that time an elementary school teacher. I was approved for Social security in August 2009 but there was a 180 day window that I had to meet before I could get any funds and was not eligible for any back pay. Needless to say this left my family in a financial nightmare with all my medical bills, pilling up and not to mention my wife who has Chrome’s Disease and she is in and out of hospital a lot as well. I am writing to you today about my lovely wife. In the past 2 years we have had to file bankruptcy, move in with my in-laws, return and surrender cars, and other items and it has just not left a lot of room for me to do much for her and show her I love her. I am currently a 1A status on the Heart Transplant list meaning the next available heart that best fits my blood type, size etc...I will get it, in the mean time I battle everyday with the financial strains of marinating our lives financially, and emotionally, and feeling less of a man because I cannot provide for my family in the way I should She is my rock, my soul mate, and has been with me through every moment of my illness good and bad. We have yet to even have a Honeymoon after 10 years of marriage and I would just like your show to help honor her in some way for what she has done for me. I don’t necessarily ask for anything for me, but I want her to know that I appreciate and LOVE HER DEARLY… and I thank her for all she has done over the years.
