Oscar Alert: Anderson's All-Time Favorite Movies

Friday, February 22, 2013 7:00AM
This Sunday, February 24, the Oscars will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on ABC at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT. Movie fans and professional pundits alike are debating which movies -- and which stars -- they expect will win a coveted Academy Award.

Nate Silver, who successfully called the 2012 presidential election results for all 50 states, has turned his hand to Oscar predictions. Based upon its performance in 16 leading awards contests, "Argo" is Nate's clear favorite to win Best Picture this year.

Do you agree? Is this "Argo's" year, or could "Zero Dark Thirty" or "Lincoln" sneak under Nate's radar to snatch the ultimate movie award? Be sure to tweet us your picks before the telecast.

Now, check out Anderson's 10 favorite movies of all time, which have won a combined total of 30 Oscars. Not bad!

Was really proud Canadian rooting for Argo win Oscar today til discovered CNN truth was not told. Even President Jimmy Carter interviewed said was Ken Taylor, Canada that saved the hostages not CIA. They risked their lives, believe only Canada would have done it. Thank God it was not other way around. Have clip Tom Brokow talking, showing actual film of incident and banners flew when hostages came home Thank you Canada. Was is it so hard USA give credit where due, Canada thank you. Silly me. My father joined Canadian Armed Forces under age, retired and served his Country. During WWI, Canadians 1st over, won many battles other Countries could not. At high cost and all we asked was land to bury our dead. Germany army soldiers said feared only Canadians for their tansity, strength, courage. Even history does not paint brush truthfully, my father was there as my uncles, why is that...very sad indeed.
