If; "The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive position," is true, then why isn't CNN following up on that? Anyone in this blog should be asking that question only! Nothing else should supercede that claim unless it is false. The LA Riots were a direct result of there actions and should be investigated. Do the people of LA deserve at least that much?
Anderson, this is your Pulitzer Prize moment! When are you going to, for once, step out of your comfort zone and start asking some hard questions? What must have happened to this obviously articulate, intelligent, talented and previously squeaky-clean man (Christopher Dorner) for him to commit such evil acts? Why haven't you stepped up and asked if any of his accusations against LAPD are true? Or show them to be untrue? Why haven't you inquired about Teresa Evans, or those who defended her? Why are you not asking about the LAPD shooting unarmed, newspaper-delivering women in the back, 40 times? You are a gifted journalist, but you could be so much more.
