Today's Frugal Friday tip comes from Cheapism.com Founder and CEO Max Levitte, who says it's almost a crime to pay for shipping at this time of the year.

Max suggests doing some of your online holiday shopping on Monday, Dec. 17, when over 2,000 retailers participate in free shipping day! He also says using USPS is the least expensive way to send packages.

"Send your packages by priority flat rate, which is by far the cheapest way. If you go on their website, you can save close to an additional 15%, and they will come pick up your package from you."
