Family Dinner Challenge: Laura Wins QVC Prize Pack
Anderson welcomed back David Venable from QVC, who surprised mom-of-seven Laura, the winner of our Family Dinner Challenge.
See what happened when David arrived to help Laura cook. Laura, who lives in Long Island with her large family including her mother, said it's challenging to cook something everyone will like.
David suggests getting organized and encouraging the kids to get involved. "Talk about what you're planning for dinner and go to the market with a menu in hand. Not every meal you make is going to be every child's favorite," David said.
Venable also had a basket to collect everyone's "distractions," which could be games, cell phones, and other gadgets.
He also suggests starting small ("a couple of times a week"), and having everyone commit to a particular time for dinner.
