Special Thanks to Our Hurricane Sandy Volunteers, and How You Can Help

This weekend, our "Anderson Live" staffers joined forces with All Hands Volunteers and volunteers from the College of Staten Island to deliver turkeys to those in need after the wrath of Hurricane Sandy.

Join All Hands Volunteers on Facebook at Facebook.com/Hands.org and on Twitter: @AllHands.

A very special thanks to the College of Staten Island:

We stopped at three locations and gave out turkeys to the following facilities:

1) Stapleton UAME Church

Stapleton Church is in need of food, blankets, toiletries and baby products. Find out how to help on their Facebook page:

2) El Centro

The storefront immigrant day worker center is looking for cash donations and volunteers. Learn more on their website and Twitter account:

3) VFW Guyon Rescue.

This 100% grassroots, volunteer, non-governmental organization providing immediate assistance to the families of Staten Island affected by Hurricane Sandy, needs help to rebuild their community. They need Home Depot gift cards, cleaning supplies, box fans to help dry out their homes, and laundry detergent. Learn more:
