it's very good
I agree that some of these seem over $7.00. But even at $7. that is too much for a side dish or salad. I would rather go out to eat for that price. I need a meal for $7. and preferably under...
And cauliflower alone is now $4.00 by itself. Still it looks good.
Tried another one of these recipes today, the curry chicken came out great. Much love to this man and continued success.

"Chef Charles’ Thoughts: Now this will be a first for many. This recipe is great for those who love raw or vegan."
Vegan? Sure, but raw? Why would any raw foodist love a recipe that needs to be pan fried or baked?
Recipe looks good, let it stand on it's own without making yourself look silly by trying to suggest it's a good fit for an audience the chef clearly knows nothing about.
Someone asked where some recieps were.(Where the picture is ON The RIGHT side ON The left SIDE OF THAT) IS A ARROW > NEXT
< BACK the recieps are all there.HuMM everything looks so good.
I continue to be amazed by the negativity! If I am told a cake will cost me $5.00 to make and the recipe calls for 3 cups of flour then I assume the $5.00 does not include the price for an entire bag of flour! So some of the ingredients are not in your kitchen but may they are ingredients that will help you be healthier. These recipes and some of the ingredients are new to me. But I am going to give them a try. Read some more about this chef before you bash everything. I did. A friend told me about him and the work he is doing. I have lots loved ones to diabetes and anyone who is trying to help save the lives of diabetes is A+++ in my book.
This recipe for cauliflower balls really appealed to me and so I tried it. I made this recipe from scratch and it was around $7 or less. Please take into consideration that many of the ingredients are a part of my regular purchases. The most expensive item was the cauliflower which was $2 per pound for the organic. Not sure of non organic prices. Spinach, quinoa, grape seed oil, bell peppers, egg, scallion, garlic, cilantro are all items we use on regular basis.
Just came back from the store.. was excited about trying the cauliflower & spinach balls, but after a $36 grocery bill, not so much!
Either it's $7 per serving, or they're running on the assumption that everyone has the "basics" already (sea salt, grapeseed oil, garlic, etc.) The oil alone was almost $6. Cauliflower is $3 a head now.
Now that I have the pricey base stuff, maybe it'll be under $20 next time I make them.
Great recipes, except the cilantro salad and the 1/2 cup cilantro used in cauliflower spinach balls, I'd leave that ingredient out. I am one of the people who has the adverse effect with cilantro - it tastes disgustingly like soap. Too much is a nauseating experience. I keep trying to remember how we used to cook things before cilantro became the only thing to use 10 years ago...
I am a chef and run a catering biz. This is a good concept only issue is these ingredients will cost roughly $35-$45 depending on where you live. Feeding a family of four you can easily do this but multiply that by 3 meals plus 2 snacks per day can add up. If you are trying to prepare budget meals. Use mostly veggies, one fiber rich starch and go light on the protein. The average person only needs 4-6 oz. of protein per day. This can come from of tofu, nuts, legumes, eggs, meats, dairy and certain veggies. Be creative, try international dishes and have fun with putting your twist on recipes. Eating better will mean a happier and healthier you. :)
I went looking for the cauliflower spinach balls too....I didn't give up, though. Move your mouse over the picture, or just look to the side of it and you'll see the arrows next to the picture, then click on it. You will find all 7 recipes.
I love the curry chicken and so did my guests. I was delicious and affordable. My hat off to you Mr. Mattocks..
Please keep on doing what you are doing....
You're kidding right - a recipe that calls for 2 and a half pounds of chicken breasts and only feeds 3?
