Update on Daniel the 'Miracle Beagle'

Daniel, the "Miracle Beagle," who survived an Alabama gas chamber, was on "Anderson" last season. Since then, he has become the subject of a new book, "Daniel -- The Miracle Beagle," written in the perspective of Daniel by owner Joe Dwyer.
Dwyer explains why he wrote the book, saying, "I believe that I've been given a purpose, to serve as an inspiration for all of us who share love as we work together toward a time that all animals, who can be saved, go on to make their lives and the lives of the people who open their homes and their hearts to them -- beautiful, bright and free."
In addition to the book, the pooch has become the "spokesdog" for abolishing animal gas chambers in legislation called "Daniel's Law." He was also nominated as Hero Dog of the Year by the American Humane Association.
