Kale Smoothie for Kids (Recipe)
On today's show, Anderson (a notoriously picky eater) bravely tried Mystery Guest Olivia Newton-John's kale, apple and beet juice smoothie. To his surprise, he enjoyed it!
As a call to action on the show, Anderson asked viewers to pin their favorite kale recipes on Pinterest, and this smoothie for kids caught our eye.
The recipe was pinned to Anderson from Margaret (mkelly320) and is the creation of Sonnet, a food blogger, and wellness advocate at ForTheLoveOfFoodBlog.com.
Sonnet is convinced that a green smoothie "will change your life." She says, "It will power your workouts. It will curb your sugar cravings. It will nourish your body and mind when you wake up in the morning. And it might just become your new obsession."
Sonnet's tip: The key to making a green smoothie is to blend, blend, blend! Making a smoothie with your child is a great way to get them involved in the kitchen and create a healthy snack together. Kids will love the green color and you'll be surprised by how much they also love the taste!
