Web Extra: America's Tallest Man Measured by Tailor
America's tallest man, Igor Vovkovinskiy, is measured at Mohan's Custom Tailors in Manhattan.
Vovkovinskiy, who stands 7'8", was given $10,000 worth of custom-made clothing from shop owner Mohan Ramchandani, who measured Igor's massive frame.
For the first time, Igor will choose from a variety of fabrics and tell Mohan what kind of clothes he wants. Igor expresses his gratitude. "After living through so many obstacles in my life, I'm beginning to think that maybe things are changing for the better."
He continues, "Thanks to Anderson Cooper and the partners he's worked with, I'm getting clothing made specifically for me, shoes custom made, custom mattress… I'm thinking maybe things are beginning to change towards the better."

Thank you for doing Igor's story. For some reason I assumed he was well off doing Ripley's. I think he used to work for them. His story was so touching and his Mother was just awesome. A mother's love lasts for ever!
Love your show...Saw Igor in Cannon Falls, MN when President Obama was there. Lucky to get seats. Igor was so nice. He used to get his shoes made at Red Wing Shoe. Lots of my family work there. They told him they would check it out why he couldn't get them anymore. So glad he got help from you with his shoes and clothes.
I watched Anderson Cooper's show today and was so moved by Igor's story. My heart goes out to him for the struggles he faces each day just to get around. I hope that the new custom made shoes will help with the painful walking and the custom wardrobe will give him the confidence to get into a paralegal profession. He seems to have the ability to handle his life with this help and I am anxious to see what happens. Good luck to you Igor!
Such a great story....love to see this kind of thing, especially for someone as completely worthy of it as Igor.
Mr. Cooper, I have been making custom made shoes since I was about 15 yrs. old. I am now 56. My mother-in-law called from Fla. to tell my wife that I should contact you about making shoes for your guest Igor. I have made comfortable shoes for every conceivable shape, size, deformity, and injury with tremendous success and have no doubt that I could make great shoes for Igor. I start with a full plaster cast of his feet and build the shoes around them, so size is irrelavant to me. The shoes will fit and give him the most support he has ever had. I would be happy to send references from as many physicians you like that would confirm that I make the finest molded shoes anywhere. I can be reached at 502-452-1301 at work. My home # is 502-339-9271.
