Director of Marriage Project Disagrees with Nadine's Self-Marriage

Thursday, August 09, 2012 5:00AM

Brad Wilcox, Director of the National Marriage Project, tells Anderson he disagrees with Nadine's marriage to herself. "I think, regrettably, Nadine's a bit confused. She's kind of the poster child for what's wrong in our culture when it comes to marriage. Marriage isn't a solo act. It's about diversity. It's about bringing two different people together."

Wilcox continues, "The point is we are losing sight about the importance of bringing people together, around a life together, kids together."

If more women in this world had the self-respecting, self-loving attitude that Nadine has, there could very well be more successful marriages. Nadine's attitude is NOT "the poster child for what's wrong in our culture when it come to marriage"...that sure is an ignorant blanket statement. If more women were comfortable just being happy with themselves, they wouldn't "settle" for someone that may be disrespectful to them, just for the sake of having a person in their life because they might be afraid to be alone. I applaud Nadine's commitment to herself and find her attitude refreshing.
