Ohio Mom Freed from Prison After 15 Years, Thanks to Daughter
Ohio mom and school bus driver Nancy Smith, who was convicted of molesting the children in the bus she drove, and subsequently spent 15 years in prison, appeared on "Anderson" via satellite to talk about the support of her daughter, Amber. A teary-eyed Nancy said, "I always had hope that somebody would help me get out of prison, or do something… I just never realized it would be my daughter."
Smith maintains her innocence, and with Amber's dedication and persistence, was released from prison on a technicality. Although Smith remains free, she could return to prison if the Ohio SupremeCourt orders the judge who overturned the case to re-sentence Smith. The entire process could take four to seven months.
A 1994 jury convicted Smith and another person, Joseph Allen, of working together to molest several children who rode her bus, despite the fact that Smith claims they never met.

I saw this news on www.dontpaytv.org/contact.html recently. Seems like Smith's innocent. Hope this case gets settled soon.
This is really sad to see this. We count on our Jury's to find us not guilty and to have to go to Jail for something that didn't happen!!! the child molester that they convicted should of said something about that that didn't happen our people today I would be afraid myself...
The Oh Mom, I would never belive this lady would hurt no one, And I feel she should be paid for ever day she was locked away, Can you tell when a preson is telling the truth, and do you know how how it feel for some one to lie on you, that hurt, and when someone lie, and you know when you tell the truth no one will belive you, so please let this MOM go so she can be with her family, please, please, please, let this MOM stay. Thanks for doing the show about Nance Smith today. I have to register as a sex offender for an offense that happened when I was 18 and still in High School. The person I was with was only 3 years younger and attended the same school. There are so many people on the registry that aren't what people think or say they are, but their lives just like mine have been ruined because of the bias and prejudice that media has on this subject. I have written other shows trying to get them to do the same type of show, however all my requests go unanswered. I have always been a fan of yours and gained so much more respect because of today's show.
