On today's show, Anderson hosts his first live auction, with proceeds going to one of his favorite charities, Puppies Behind Bars. It's a show about how you can find hidden treasure in unexpected places.
As seen on the show, Anderson is putting his official, one-of-a kind Anderson Cooper Cabbage Patch doll up for auction. Guest Jon Cusack also joins in on the fun by signing a copy of "The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe." Both items are available for bidding now on eBay. The auction ends on May 2, so act quickly!

I really enjoy your show because it's unique in the fact that you combine A-List and quirky subjects and guests in the same episode.
But something snagged my mind about today's show. I saw that you are auctioning your Cabbage Patch Doll that the doll-obsessed couple thoughtfully tailored for you. I thought it was a sweet gesture.
I understand that the item's proceeds are going to a great cause, but I was raised to know that it's poor taste to give away (sell/auction) a gift someone gives you. I personally think it's an insult to the couple who gave it to you,and that you consider another item or make a personal donation instead, IMHO.
But other than that, I love you and love the show!
