Shea & Matt's Dream Wedding Surprise

On the show this season, Anderson has helped a number of people facing consumer injustice, and today he’s helping women facing wedding day disasters.
Shea and Matt were looking forward to their dream wedding on the beach in Asbury Park, New Jersey when a hurricane shut the city down -- canceling their ceremony. With guests traveling to attend the wedding from across the country, the couple scrambled for a place to say their vows. They decided to hold an impromptu ceremony where their reception was planned, and were forced to cut nearly 200 people from their invite list. While they did recoup some of the money, to this day, they have not been able to have their dream wedding.
Producers told Shea and Matt they were coming on the show to share their story with other brides, to caution them on the importance of protecting themselves with wedding insurance.
Instead, Anderson, with the help of Sandals Resorts, Wilshire Grand and steel drum artist Mustafa Alexander, has a big surprise for the couple...
Sandals Resorts, known as the ultimate resort for couples in love, is giving Shea and Matt an intimate Renewal of Vows ceremony and reception along with a 6-day/5-night Luxury Included stay in a Love Nest Luxury Suite in Saint Lucia — complete with round-trip airfare!
To ensure their renewal of vows visions are brought to life, Sandals Resorts' dedicated Vow Renewal Consultant will assist with selecting every element of their ceremony.

And... as a last surprise, musician Mustafa Alexander has promised to play at their wedding, at no cost!

I buy almost everything except food and clothing from online auctions. .Most people aren't aware of the almost unbelievable deals that they can get from online auction sites. Ther site that has best deals is http://savebang.com
and I checked with the Better Business Bureau and was told that it is all legitHow they can sell gift
cards, laptops, cameras, and all kinds of goodies that we all want for 50-90% off, I don't know. I do
know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my husband a $250 Loews gift
cards for $48.Why would I even think about shopping anyplace else?
.
i wish them the best the 2nd time they are very luck i couldn't afford a wedding... congratulations on the 2nd time around wedding.
I am VERY happy for them! It's interesting how things happen--Matt's grandparents are very good friends of mine (and former neighbors)--a wonderful family! Anyway, several years ago I won a trip to St. Lucia in a raffle at my church's Italian Festival. At the time, I thought the trip would be a honeymoon for me. That was not to be---and then a while after that, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. A priest friend said in a sermon the following week---"you don't necessarily have to run out and donate money--think about it first--there might be something that only you can do." I didn't have much spare money at the time, but that gave me an idea--the trip I won wasn't going to be a honeymoon for me, but perhaps it could be for someone else. So I called the travel agency and donated the trip specifically for a couple whose honeymoon had been ruined/cancelled because of Hurricane Katrina. And now--several years later, Matt & Shea are going to St. Lucia because their wedding day was ruined by Hurricane Irene--very cool! Blessings to you Matt and Shea for an AWESOME trip and reception! And thank you Anderson for making it happen for them!
I'm glad for them that they got this nice surprise, but I also was not moved or too upset for them. With all that's going on right now with this economy -- people losing jobs and not being able to get new ones, losing their homes, etc. We are going through that ourselves. When you're married for years and start having these kinds of problems, your wedding day really isn't your highest priority.
I won't be popular with this response, but I was appalled by this story...a wedding -- 'ruined' by a hurricane -- that could have been easily transported elsewhere (is the venue really that much more critical than the togetherness?), at a time when how many people lost their homes, their livelihoods and, perhaps, their lives? Where are people's priorities? While I understand disappointment, there are so many more upsetting events in life than to (still) be crying over this disappointment how many months later?
Shea's display of genuine joy was beautiful and contagious! Anderson, you changed the perspective of two young people. Congrats for another great segment!
Hi Anderson, I am watching your show on Wedding disasters; the couple who had their wedding plans ruined by Irene. I must say, one persons disaster is another persons reward. My son and daughter-in-law were getting married in Key West, Florida, the same weekend Irene was to hit. The researsal on the beach was extremely windy, etc, however Irene; on their wedding day, decided to head north and they had the most beautiful wedding day ever. The only bad news was that their guests from up north were stuck in Key West a few extra days, since the Airports in N.J., N.Y., and Philly were closed due to Irene.
