Theresa Caputo, 'Long Island Medium'
After gaining notoriety on her TLC show "Long Island Medium," Theresa Caputo is the down-to-earth medium that fans adore.
But channeling the dead and sharing their messages with the loved ones they left behind is not an easy job, and Anderson wonders how Theresa first knew she had the gift.
"It wasn't until my late 20s," Theresa says. "From the age of four, I can remember seeing people standing at the end of my bed, feeling things that really weren't there, hearing people call my name."
But no matter how sincere or how pure her intentions are, there will always be those who are skeptical of Theresa's abilities, and Anderson admits that he's one of them.
Theresa, however, says she doesn't have anything to prove.
"It's not about believing," Theresa says. "I like to use the word 'understand.'"

I really don't know if this woman is real or not but I do know that some people have this ability or gift. It happened to me before when I was walking to work and this lady stopped me. I am thinking maybe she's losted and need directions but no. She started telling me things about my past which she was 100% correct and my future which somethings has happened. The interested thing is that she was'nt looking for me to validated her answers. She said it like a matter of fact. It TOTALLY freaked me out. So, these people do exist.

She is a SCAMMER! She uses such techniques as "Cold Reading"(Fishing), "Subjective Validation". People like this should be put in jail for Conning people. They use the same techniques psychologist's do. Sales personel have the same abililties! It's the old story of high pressuring the customer. This is what they do. Anyone could learn this kind of manipulation!
I think Theresa has a real gift. But, she should not be charging people for it! I do not charge for what i do and i believe others shouldn't as well.

Passing this test has enormous ramifications that would force science to be rewritten. Theresa claims to have these powers. She takes money from people on that basis. She has a TV show based on this premise. The TV show is on "The Learning Channel." By watch that show, some people become convinced that she has that power. To date, there is no evidence that such communication is possible, no mechanism or process for it to occur and no evidence that anyone is doing it. If Theresa is doing it, then she has a moral obligation to prove it and mankind can then LEARN from it.
