Theresa Caputo Does a Reading on the 'Anderson' Audience

Theresa Caputo, star of the TLC reality show "Long Island Medium", says she has the ability to channel spirits and energies of those who have passed away. She uses this gift to convey messages to those whose dead loved ones are reaching out to them.
In this extended reading you didn't see on the show, see Theresa before the taping as she channels the loved ones of various guests from the "Anderson" audience. Some skeptics say she has changed their minds completely.

During the show, Theresa felt a pull towards another woman in the "Anderson" audience. It turns out this woman had also lost a lost one, and despite being reluctant at first, she and Theresa share a connection over Theresa's reading.

I had a hard time watching this. Her guesses were SO OFF on that first woman alone that she couldn't WAIT to get away from her. Just throwing the whole "who's got the piece of jewelry from their mother" thing out there. OF COURSE someone has their mother's ring.
She guessed about the "younger male energy" and when every guess she made about who that person was, was wrong (son, husband, boyfriend, friend etc), she moved on to "is your Mother passed?" and THEN says "your Mother is really who you wanted to hear from". Give me a break. How embarrassing. I like Theresa. I think her show is cleverly edited to show the "hits".
I think the whole "piggybacking" thing is a lame excuse to set a crowd up for when she gets is WAAAY wrong. That said, I still find her entertaining. I just feel badly for the people who wholeheartedly believe this is real.
Oh and has anyone else noticed that she constantly says "I don't hear spirit, I feel spirit", yet the next sentence is how that same spirit says "Theresa, tell my mother I'm ok and I'm at peace" if you feel spirit and don't hear them...then how are they telling you they are at peace?
It looks like someone has finally come forward to EXPOSE the Long Island Medium for good as being a FAKE...

I know there are many who are either skeptics or total non believers. I am not one of those. I say this because once, only once did I actually find myself in Theresa's role. It is a long story and I do not have the time to tell the story. I would be happy to, however, you just have to take my word for it. I was doing a "reading" of one of my students in my high school biology class the day before Christmas vacation. I had suspended academics for the very much shortened class period. A woman I was introduced to and became my good friend was a psychic. Many times she totally devastated me with her abilities and she told me that I was capable of doing the same thing. So for this one time, in an effort to control a class of kids who wanted to be on vacation, I tried it.
He very moment I picked up the wallet of one of the kids, immediately is mother standing to my right. How do I know this? The information she gave me that this boy confirmed and it was detailed, specific and TOTALLY unknown to me. The boy was astounded, ditto for all the other students.
If you do not believe me, I really donot care in the least. You and I know that 2+2=4. With a thousand times greater certainty I knew this was real. More real than any other experience in my life.
I have had other "psychic" experiences..more long stories. They were real. Period. End of story. Again, if you do not believe me, I do give a damn. However, please remember that for a long time a lot of folks believed the earth is flat.....how did that work out for them? Believe what you want, but truth is truth. I know what I know with total certainty!
I understand skepticism, as well as statements about beliefs of the afterlife and souls' sleeping until judgement. I used to believe souls go to heaven or hell, but in communicating with spirits I have had profound experiences leading me to know that there are spirits all around us. They have validated their names, how they died, and have never changed their stories. There will never be PROOF- but there is a higher power and spirits do somehow some way come forward to communicate.
We are able to leave our bodies in astral projection. While I do believe the spirits of the dead rest until judgement, I also believe they can astrally project to communicate with loved ones or do so unknowingly, like in a dream, as they leave the body and wander.
The Bible actually does mention a medium, the Witch of Endor, who communicated with the spirit of Samuel for King Saul (1 Samuel 28:3-25). The Bible is obviously opposed to anything of this nature, but it is interesting to note mediumship within its pages.

The BS about your loved ones watching you from heaven is ludicrous. The bible (if you believe it) says when you die that you're soul is senseless (essentially asleep) until judgement day.
So many comments here about James Randi and his so called million dollar paranormal challenge. A co-worker of mine actually took the challenge because of his freaky psychic abilities and we convinced him it was easy money, since he even could read our minds verbatim at times! So what happened? When he got to finally show his stuff( it took months before the randi foundation agreed to even let him demonstrate to them) they had 'volunteers' there and asked our co-worker to answer specific questions,when it was over they told him sorry, it seems you got every question wrong except an easy one!
That's funny, we always tested him and even strangers that would walk into work, he was 98% accurate at least! Then he was humiliated by these people saying nasty things to him, that he was a fraud, rip off artist, etc etc. Here's what WE all think..James Randi has NO intention of ever paying a millon dollars, they ALWAYS make the person thats trying to prove themselves to be wrong. THEIR word against just one. You can't win, it's fixed so that no one can ever win this. So people, please stop with the thinking otherwise. James Randi is a magician all right. He's tricked many folks. I havent met Theresa Caputo, so I dont know if she's the real deal or not, but I do know there's at least one person that is yet he was told he wasn't by the real scam artist, James Randi.We've since heard about other with true abilities nto being given a chance at the million dollars, just scoffed at and told it isnt possible.What is James Randi afraid of anyway?? He is finally being sued for this by the way,by someone else.. about time!
It's too bad Anderson doesn't get it about Theresa or anyone else with this gift. I've had many medium readings with deceased members of my family coming forward to me with information that was undeniable! Until he gets one that truly hits home with him as it happened with me, he will not believe. "Heaven is for real" and maybe that's what he doesn't believe.
Teresa must be a real miracle worker. How else could she be both a Medium and a Catholic. I'd be interested in knowing what open minded Parish welcomes a well known Medium at their Masses. Do Priests give Communion to Mediums? I'm confused. The Catholic Church is clear on its position against association with Mediums. How does Teresa not know this. I'm very curious how she justifies her profession when there is such a clear conflict with the faith of her choice. Perhaps she has gone above the Pope and gotten the "go ahead" from that guy whose first name starts with a "J". I admit, I've watched the show and yes, I'm Catholic. I really truly would like to know how she can identify herself as a Catholic with a clear conscience. At this point I'm thinking I'll have to go to Confession just for watching her show.
Is she bull**** there are people in the world that beleive and those that also believe in the bible and the word of God. What is the word of God as the bible was written by man himself. Who is right and who is wrong. Believe in what you want for whatever you can have that build faith is worth having.
While Theresa Caputo has an efficacious bubbly personality and is a joy and funny to watch, she is one of two things:
1. A charlatan at best, the same as other psychics like John Edwards, who throw out things and chances are someone will see a similar occurrence and she then hones in on that individual
and validates all her correct guesses and quickly drops any wrong guesses or misconstrues wrong guesses to re-validate them as correct.
2. She is a psychotic who really believes she can see dead people. A danger to herself and others as she gets worse.
Has she ever considered taking the “The James Randi Educational Foundation challenge?” Pigs will fly first...
People are ignorant and don't understand that she has no control over who comes through, like the person who commented here about Whitney Houston. Give me a break. I guess I'm a pretty spiritual person because I believe even though I've never had that kind of experience. My son passed in 2009 and I talk to him all the time. If people heard me talking to him they would think I was crazy too. I feel like he hears me and I never used to dream about him when he was alive but I believe he comes to me in my dreams. He was 38 when he passed.
Theresa has been given a wonderful gift of bringing peace and comfort to the people left in this physical realm and you know I don't even think of her as making money off of the people she reads.
One word... Gypsy.
She's managed to get an entire country to believe in her. She's like a magician, hypnotist or ventrilequist. She's VERY good, but there's no "spirit" she hears.
All she hears is ka-ching.
