JonBenet Ramsey's Murder: John Ramsey 15 Years Later
The death of JonBenet Ramsey, the childhood beauty queen murdered in 1996, is still unresolved, but 15 years later her father, John Ramsey, is speaking out with his own theories about what happened that night.
"I think what happened, and it's I guess supported by evidence, is this person came into our home when we were out for dinner on Christmas night and then waited until we went to bed and took JonBenet from her room," John says.
John says he's unsure whether it was someone he knew, but says crime profilers have guessed that the killer is someone who was either angry at or jealous of John.
One fleeting suspect in JonBenet's murder was her brother Burke, who was only 9 at the time of her death. John Ramsey says in his new book, "The Other Side of Suffering," that Burke saw headlines accusing him of his sister's murder.
John says they tried to give Burke a sheltered, normal life, taking precautions by getting rid of their television, stopping newspaper deliveries to their home and hiring a psychologist for Burke.
Little did the Ramseys know that in addition to dealing with their daughter's death, they would also have to deal with a media frenzy of accusations. In a Gallop poll, John says that 70 percent of the population believed he and his wife, Patsy, were involved in their daughter's murder.
John, however, never believed the hype, saying that he didn't doubt his late wife Patsy's innocence "even for a nanosecond."
"The real blow… was the loss of our child," John says. "The rest of it was just kind of noise-level stuff. It was there, but that didn’t hurt."
In the years after JonBenet's death, John Ramsey was not open to learning many of the details surrounding her murder. Now, however, he is ready to face whatever facts there are.
"I'm ready now. I obviously would like to know, what did we do wrong and what caused this person to focus on our family?" John says. "It's not going to bring JonBenet back, [but] it would be nice to have that element of closure."
Many people are unaware that John Ramsey lost another child four years prior to JonBenet's death, when his 22-year-old daughter Beth was killed in a car accident in 1992. Tragedy struck in John's life again 10 years after JonBenet's death, when his wife and JonBenet's mother, Patsy, passed away from ovarian cancer in 2006.
John says one of the most disconcerting parts of Patsy's death was the idea of his son Burke, who was 18 at the time of his mother's death, having to lead his life without his mother there by his side.

There seems to be several of you that still cling to an intruder theory of some sort. All I can say is that you should seriously read James Kolar's book, Foreign Faction: Who Really Kidnapped Jonbenet?" You will then throw the intruder theories out with the used kitty litter!
I neve did belive that John nor his wife nor any of thier older children had anything to do with that child muder, I always belived it was an outsider a sick pervert and I still do. I belive this person was in thier home hid waiting for them to return, and after they were asleep went to this child room and took her or took her after she was finish eating. The police jumped the gun to quick because they wanted a quick fix they had know evidence pointing to the Ramseys at all, what they did was helped Pasty cancer progress faster in worring her to death . All I seen was love in these parents actions for thier daughter, then I thought about the pagent mothers, maybe thier could have been a jealou mother who could have paid someone to kill this child or did it herself knowing if thier was sexual abuse found it would have been blamed on the Dadbut for some odd reason it was blame on Pasty. Just maybe it was one of those pagent mothers, did any of them stick by Pasty during those trails she was going through, I say to John look at the closer one to Pasty at that time, women can be as curel as men when it comes to jealousy. I allways wonder why the police was not looking closer at the other pagent mothers. John I allways kept you and Pasty in my heart because I knew you both where good people and could not bring any harm to your baby or any one else. John this can be solved, everything happen for a reason. Now its time for you to turn your life over to God as you understand him, humble yourself and lean on God, read 2nd Timothy 2-15 God will give you the answer you are seeking. Well, I'm glad John never doubted Patsy's innocence, but he was a suspect, too ya know. But I don't believe they did it. I also don't believe his belief in the profiler's idea that it was done by someone who hated or was jealous of John. Since, apparently, John believes Patsy was the main suspect, and police picked on her more, too, I would think it was someone who hated or was jealous of Patsy - her beauty pageant winning daughter. Mothers have killed over cheerleading spots. Why would a NORMAL man who was merely jealous of JOHN, do those sick things to the little girl before she died? Maybe kill her to make John suffer, but the other things? That takes a pedophile sick person, or a crazy jealous witch of a woman.

Have ya'll watched Oprah's OWN show True Crimes w/Aphrodite Jones, this also came out years ago on a true crimes or court case but the public still isn't widely aware-also it's not just speculation they've never cleared this man as a suspect, oh and the two sets of boot prints, come on even if you threw them out-there's still a way to trace makes and models and hell even purchases, hmm. anyway but after something particular about the case was released to the Public, months after the murderes I believe this 1 man who wasn't even a suspect I believe told and wrote things that suggested that he was somehow involved in something horrible-the timing of his death indicating that he was referring to the Jon B.Ramsey murder, that he had somehow or another been involved.

it's amazing how John Ramsey continues to reinforce the myth there's no possiblility he was the killer. Jean Benet was killed with a garrotte-who is trained in garrotte killing-military intelligence. who was trained in military intelligence? John Ramsey. The garrotte was intertwined with artists' paintbrushes from their house. who would know exactly where to get them? There was no broken window in the basement,or even disturbance of dust of the ledge..more than the orchestrating of an endless parade of people in & out of the house before the police (who were expertly manipulated- after all, he was one of the ranks of authority-he know exactly how to play it) were called...another major thing people forget is that the coroner said that Jon Benet had scarring on the vaginal wall from old molestations repeatedly perpetrated -that was hushed up fast-..there is also an old very telling video of John & Patsy, in which she points to him deliberately indicating him as the killer..that he even, for a second allows his son to fall under question (which he does, in his subtle manipulative way, is typical of a sociopath) is just the kind of bottom feeding that a sociopath has no compunctions about sinking to, to keep his charade in place. Sociopaths are polished performers-not "hairy unkempt strangers"..there are/were so many, many other evidences.. that pointed right to John.It's all right there,if you one puts it together... even with the botched 'investigation' Yes, you're right, John, you're sure Patsy didn't do it-because you know YOU did. Some of us are just as smart as you are, or know people with high clearance security gov't backgrounds who know what's taught on many levels -it's a textbook cover up.
Don't feel too sorry for John Ramsey..he's got the wool pulled over your eyes, as only a professional can.
This was and still is a very sad story , I have to really wonder if the right detectives and police officers had enough experience at this type of case , I just hope they someday find the person or persons who done this .
As for me I believe john is (NOT GUILTY) of this crime.
Seriously dude, you need to know when to shut the heck up. The police searched the house top to bottom. During a second police search, YOU went down in the basement and all of a sudden "found", and brought her body up to them? Thank your stars you were (yes, I'll say it!) Caucasian, then, affluent enough to afford the best legal representation. You and your wife pulled off a miracle escaping charges. Someone came into your house - and wrote that neat cursive note? Come on - just continue being quiet, and thankful.
