Is Kristin Davis' Daughter's Name an Homage to 'Sex and the City'?

Kristin Davis named her baby daughter Gemma Rose, and many "Sex and the City" fans picked up on the fact that "Rose" was the name of her character Charlotte's adopted daughter.

Was this an intentional choice by Kristin?

"I had totally forgotten that on 'Sex and the City' I had had a child named Rose," Kristin says. "Since I did this whole [adoption] thing in secret, I didn't talk to anybody about the naming and I didn't realize the connection."
