My wife and I only spend around $240.00 a month and that is for meat laundry detergent, paper goods , everything. My Wife goes through the adds ,make up a menu and makes out her grocery list. We have been doing this for about 30 years. We haven't gone hungry yet. We have raised 5 children with this amount. thank you. My Wife also clips coupons which saves several dollars a week.

Buying whole chickens to save money is a no brainer. It's common sense...which, most of our society lacks.

I save the most money by using coupons! I don't waste $3 for a newspaper to get just one coupon of the items I want to buy. Instead, I use a coupon clipping service, Palmetto Coupon Clippers.

If that was her BEST money saving tips(And I would assume they would be,being on TV and all)Her book would be a waste of time.I found her segment really uninteresting and the tips some of the oldest and most well-known ever!Is she really suggesting people eat PANCAKES instead of cereal, not much on healthy eating is she?

I enjoy your show so much. I am a 66 yr. old homemaker. I have been a stay at home and also did daycare in my home for over 30 yrs. After knee replacement, I have given up keeping children. I never made alot of money, but I loved my job. I pinch pennies. I especially enjoy your tips on saving money. Thanks so much for all the good you do to help people.
