When Friends Turn Their Backs on the Ill
Having lived in Le Roy, New York her entire life, "Anderson" guest Marge had a large group of friends in the area -- which she never suspected would abandon her in light of any form of illness. When Marge came down with the mystery illness plaguing the town of Le Roy, she was surprised to find that a few friends did turn their backs on her.
"When you go through something like this, you find out who your friends are and the people that you can lean on," Marge says. "Those that don't want to be around you… those are the people that you don't really want in your life anyway."
Given the still relatively unknown circumstances of the illness, many people are frightened that Marge is contagious. Others simply can't handle the changes Marge is going through because of her condition.

I believe in you. I wish I could take your pain. I will fight for you and all others fighting Lyme. Motor and verbal tics are involuntary movements uncontrolled by your neurological system. I will keep fighting for diagnosis, treatment , recovery and healing.
Dary unless you live this everyday you should open your eyes to the illness around you. Anything can happen anytime. I pray this never happens to anyone's family. It is horrible. The people that have gone through this, their lives have changed. This is what's wrong with society they are missing compassion. Really? Hope you sleep on it tonight and think hard on your comments.

My son has been diagnosed with PANDAS. When he was 5 he had a sudden change in his behavior. He was normally a happy go lucky kid but suddenly would cry and had separation issues. He had several bouts of strep throat. The doctor questioned PANDAS and did another round of antibiotics. His happy personality returned. Four years later he was fine one day and the next day he had a tic that was in his neck. His head would roll from right, back, left and bring his head to his chest. He would do this at times every 7 seconds for several minutes. He had no control and said it felt like pressure in his neck that the tic would release but it would build right back up again. His strep titer was 7 times higher than normal which shows that his body had been fighting strep. He had a an asthma like flare up, no temperature, no sore throat but obviously he had strep in his chest that even the doctors missed. He was on antibiotic 3times a day for 80 days and the symptoms are pretty much gone. He now takes a once a day penicillin to try to prevent reoccurrence. An easy blood test (strep titer) can check to see if your child has been exposed to strep. OCD/tics/behavioral issues should not come on suddenly!
My daughter has been living this since Oct 08. She was bit by a tic and has been sick since. Nov09 starting to have little cold chills and after a concussion Jan 2010 she was having motor and verbal tics. That went constant. We were told by her primary it was all in her head. I had to insist she be sent to neurology,rhumatology because she also was having muscle,joint pain. Fatigue. Weekness in her legs. Back pain. Then in 2010 had her checked for Lyme. Some proteins were present but not enough for the labcorp in NJ to go further with testing. Because the dr only ordered a Lyme with reflex to western blot test. Then Jan 2011 she broke her arm. It wasn't healing. She had a low vit d level. Any injury,illness,allergic reaction made her symptoms worsen. She had a positive Lyme test done feb2011. She was 2 different antibiotics. This past may put on iv therapy. For 27 days. I feel it wasn't enough time. Drs really don't want to get involved when you suggest it's lyme. I wish they would do the humane thing and step up to do their job. Thank God for Lori and Tosha Brownell. When I saw them on the show I made contact with them. The girls have been great support for each other. They understand what the other is feeling. They both get an electric charge up their back that makes them want to do these tics. We are bringing awareness to Lyme disease. It can affect many people different. Itbvery frustrating to all when drs pass you on to the next one,and say there is nothing else we can do for you. Or put you on a pill to try to control the tics. That is a band aide to me. Cure them. Not cover it up.

In a way i can understand why some might think of these tick girls faking it. it is weird. I would have thought that as well. but ,i have had a few times where i have had this happen to me. i get very stressed out and things happen. thinking its a heart attack to seizures. i start shaking and my body starts with that tick. the sound isnt just me making it, its from the force.. if u will.. of the sudden jerk of my body. However, mine dont last for days and all day. kind makes me wonder if these people are stressed and this happens and then they just cant stop. i have found that if i am left alone and quiet that it stops. maybe they are somewhat making it worse then it could be, but i wouldnt say that they are faking it.

Watching the show today.. I am so shocked to see that someone else has had the same "episodes" that I have had in the past. I would have episodes for hours.. I would convulse for hours. It was like a light switch in my body and as soon as it was turned on.. I would have episodes.. I have been to a neuroligist. Who told me he had no clue what was wrong with me. I have had doctor's tell me it was stress induced. I was given medication. They have gone away. I am afraid they will come back on day. It has been several years since I have had an episode. I feel for these girls.
The girls in leroy ny and marge with the tics it's just a hoax , they are attention seekers when you see them alone none of them act like they did on your show or on any of the shows they have been on , i know because i live near leroy
On the show yesterday about the unknown illnes in N.Y... Well I've had non-eplic seizures for years. I've had all kind of test & brain scans over the years. I was born in South Jersy in the mid 70's moved to south Florida at two years old,now I live in N.C. my friend who lives in Florida who also has the same type of seizures as me is from Wildwood N.J..My Boyfriend born in CT. has eye ticks.The seizurers are for real and very painful! I've had them off and on my whole life. I'm sure the chem spill in the 70's has something to do with all of it. and the recent out burst of them in N.Y. may have something to do with the hurricane that hit the East coast last year. Hurricans are known to stirr up the beds of water ways and bays.I'd be interested to know where the water shed is.I don't believe they are faking I've suffered my whole life with seizures like that, tho not always as bad.And I had my seizures WAY before this story ever made the news.I would sure be happy to find out what has caused me and others to have these seizures. Im a 35 year old woman with three children and it was such a life long relife to hear someone eles hgad seizures much like mine.Now if they can only find out why.
This is about the show on friday 10 ,I had the same tremors & seizures saw many doctors got no help .until I read about many different kind of epilepsy one them is call Myaclonic means Involuntary Movement of the body ,I told the Doctor had an MRI came out possitive Prescribe NEORONTIN & CLONAZEPAM the seizures & stop .I am still sick but is my other illnesses maybe those girls could try these MED THANK YOU
Is any one on ur show reading these comments or is this just for the public to read,to comfort one another.I would really like to talk to the parents of these girls.To give them more Ideas to research,I am so happy they went public with this issues,n want to get to the bottom of it all.This is NOT a isolated issues,It is not environmental either.There I many cases all over the US.I think we the people need to fight back n say no to all these vaccines ur sticking in r kids today.Each vaccine has a bit of the illness in it as well as aluminum,mercury,human fetus,This is to many poisons,in there body's.R kids don't need,Hepatitis A,B, or C vaccines.Or Whooping cough,or mumps,measles,or that new 1,Genizel,4 hpt, series of 3 shoots, that seems to b the worse and all girls getting it having way Waco side affixes from it.I have NOT let my 17 yr old get any of these,Yes she goes to public school,all u have to do is sign a waver,Yes parents this is still America land of the FREE so u can say NO to VACCINES.Its time we stand up 4 our kids n stand against pharmaceutical company's,because there r slowly killing us.
Anderson, you were so compassionate in the way you interviewed these guests who are suffering from the tic disorder. If nothing else, these people deserve to be believed. You are a real professional. Your guests are safe in your hands.
