'Fashion Police' Joan & Melissa Give Anderson Tips

Mother/daughter duo Joan and Melissa Rivers have become notorious in their roles as “Fashion Police,” critiquing and praising stars on the red carpet for their fashion dos and don'ts… Now, it's Anderson's turn.
"Anderson" viewer Pat wrote in, saying:
I love Anderson… but, I'm having a bit of a problem getting used to some of the casual Anderson looks; the pastel cotton plaid shirts for one. Maybe Joan and Melissa could do a quick Fashion Police for me on some of Anderson's new daytime looks.
Joan was sympathetic to Anderson, telling him he looks "like a New Yorker." Melissa weighs in, saying "plaids are always tough on TV."

I would understand the lady's concern about Anderson's clothing if it was a formal atmosphere, but Anderson's way of dressing relates to 95% of americans. He is casual and the American public feels comfortable around him and listening to him. Unlike some of these public figures always in STUFF SHIRT attire, with millions of dollars, that really don't know how to relate to MOST people in America.
There was a show earlier in the month (of February, 2012) from a viewer who had a rather negative opinion of Anderson's choice of shirts.
I disagree with that viewer's (somewhat rude) comment about Anderson's clothing, with the pastel and plaid shirts being like pajamas?! To me it was like a breath of fresh air to see the light of his personality come through with his expression in his clothing choices. Also, his set is bright and refreshing, the natural light adding a touch of class. I liked the way he dressed prior to the scrutiny given by that viewer! I guess everyone has an opinion. Also, I am wondering if the person who commented was a bully in her younger years?
I loved what Anderson wears although his casual look is a little to causal Leave him alone he looks good in anything

Melissa had a good point about plaids being hard to wear on TV - in general they can be quite overwhelming (particularly on the entire upper body, against paler skin and hair). Perhaps try the larger plaid loose and open in the front, not tucked in, over a plain white or pale blue T-Shirt with the sleeves rolled up a bit (more casual, less cowboy) ... it shouldn't look too Crockett-and-Tubbs-y unless, um, you're wearing white pants...
I really like the current mix-n-match wardrobe approach and choices. It's easy, flexible, comfortable, and totally works for the show, it's format, and it's uber-busy host's schedule.
PS. That aging app was kind of freaky, but Anderson shouldn't worry - he won't look like that until he's at least 300 years old.
Loved the show today. You look great in everything you wear. Don't change a thing! If anything wear more purple and blue, those colors look great on you! I watch both of your shows and I love the contrast between your day and night personalities. I think I like your casual look the most because you seem your most authentic self when you are dressed casual. Although, I must say you can rock a suit and tie.
Anderson, you always look great. I think you would llok fantastic in various shades of gray. Blue is a good color for you, also!
That woman is crazy!! Anderson always looks amazing and I love seeing him in colors, like the purples and the blues he's been wearing = yummy!!

There are many of us adoring fans of you and Melissa. No one likes getting old and especially being reminded by doctors over and over and over again and their staff of our age. Stay tough Joan. I just want to say that I think Anderson dresses very well. I am a 42 year old man with the same hair color as Anderson and everyday I watch to see what he has on. I wish I had his cloths! I can't afford to buy the cloths, but it's nice to see what might look good.

i hope you dont take the lady seriously, you said you would be yourself on this show, if dressing the way you currently do makes you feel comfortable than so be it, i like you as you are im sure many will agree
i live in a tiny burg where everyone knows everyone so i cannot give you my real name , but i saw the show on monday and the person who said you need a new wardrobe is crazy. you would look good in anything you wore you are the sexiest man on tv. i dont know how old you are but i cannot believe women arent falling all over you . i am 54, not ugly or fat soo if you need a date email me. i live in ohio

I didn't get the comment about Andersons daytime looks I think he looks great! I wish my hubby would dress like that, at least sometimes. Also we think Andy C. should bring back the MOLE! what's one more show!LOL!
