JFK Jr.'s Assistant Recalls the Realization of His Death
Many people remember where they were when they heard that JFK Jr. had died, and that yet another Kennedy's life had sadly and unexpectedly ended. JFK Jr.'s former assistant, RoseMarie Terenzio, tells Anderson about the time leading up to the devastating news, and how she felt when she realized what had happened.
When RoseMarie first heard news that JFK Jr.'s plane never landed, she assumed this meant they had never taken off in the first place, but once she received news from the airport that the plane had, in fact, departed, her attitude changed.
"That was bad. That was really bad," RoseMarie said. "I knew something had happened, but I had not at all accepted that it was that bad. I just thought something happened, and they're going to find them."
RoseMarie says that it took her some time before she could process the weight of the situation and what it meant.
