Madonna to Anderson: 'I Like Your Mom'

Wednesday, April 04, 2012 5:09AM

When asking Madonna if she reads what critics write about her, Anderson shares advice his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt, which was to never read anything about yourself.

"I like your mom," says Madonna.

She continues "I don't think you should read anything about anybody, to tell you the truth. I think that most things that are written about pop culture these days are not very objective. I think that we should be able to watch, listen and experience art and entertainment with open minds, without people telling us what we should be thinking or feeling, or cluttering our brain with ideas… because then you are going to go in with an expectation and then you can't really experience it the way you should."

Anderson's full-hour with Madonna airs Thursday, February 2.

Madonna's film, "W.E.," opens Friday, February 3.
