Warning Signs a Child is Headed Down the Wrong Path

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 5:05AM

As mentioned on today's show, Dr. Karen Binder-Brynes has provided the "Anderson" community with a list of warning signs your child could be heading into dangerous waters... and tips on what to do. Help keep your family safe...

Get tips from Dr. Binder-Brynes on what to do to help deal with your child's behavior.

Dr. Binder-Brynes also suggested two key things for parents to remember…

1. Pay attention to siblings.

Siblings are often the first ones to voice concerns -- this is a big thing.

2. Parents need to trust their instincts.

When in doubt, go with your gut. Trust that parental intuition.

I wanted to commit on today's show with parents calling the cops on there children. It is a fact that if your child is out of control and you have tried everything that you can and something happens out side the home the first person the police look at is the parent. We had tried everything with my daughter and she just would not stop she went as for as to steal my company truck from my home she had never driven before in her life she could have killed herself or someone else . We called the cops and when she was caught we went to the seen the cop came over to us and talked to us like it was our fault but when we told him to take her away for her crime she was 16 he told us he would not . But to teach her consiquinces I went in to the station and pressed charges. Cops complain about parents calling but if something happens the first person they hold to the fire is the parent. If the can control our house holds with laws than they need to step in when called.
