Monday, January 09, 2012 5:04AM
Online dating is growing increasingly popular, and like three of the guests on Anderson's "How Far Is Too Far?" show, people are hoping to find a connection for a variety of reasons. While most people who use online dating websites hope that the intentions of the site's users are pure, unfortunately, it’s not always the case.

Because of the anonymity in online dating, it can be a dangerous game. It’s necessary to take precautionary measures before meeting up with strangers from a dating website.

Relationship Expert Dr. Michelle Callahan encourages anyone who is looking for love on the internet to follow these tips…

Dear Anderson,
My name is Heidi Kidd and I am the mother of a Craigslist murder victim. Below is a letter that has been sent to Craigslist that has many important implications for your followers too. Please read this letter, get behind this move to make the Internet world safe, and inform your followers of this important system that is now available. Please come on board with us
Thank you

Dear Mr. Newmark,

I am Heidi Kidd, mother of Heather Snively who, as you know, was murdered after answering an ad for baby clothes on your site in 2009. Heather was 8 months pregnant when this attack occurred and her baby John Steven was cut from her body and he also died. Since Heather’s murder there have been many other murders associated with your site and untold numbers of robberies, assaults, rapes, scams and all other types of crimes.
A privately developed Internet Passport System is now available to protect your users from these heinous criminals. There is no question in my mind, had this Passport System been available for Heather when she was buying baby clothes on your site, she and her baby would both be alive today. I have also researched many other crimes that have occurred on your site, Dating Sites, eBay type sites and others and I have yet to find a single crime that this passport would have not prevented, it is that effective.
This passport system provides a level of protection that we have not seen before; a level of protection that absolutely works, and I feel it is a moral obligation of Craigslist and all other Internet sites to inform every user of this system and encourage them to use it. In fact, now that this system is available, I would consider it to be criminal neglect on the part of any Internet site owner to purposely withold this information from their users and allow them to go unprotected.
Internet crime on sites like yours and others is now an epidemic in our society and much of that is due to there not being any effective system available to stop these criminals. That has all changed now and it is our responsibility, yours and mine, to do everything in our power to make sure that no one is ever victimized by these criminals again. For my part, I am leading a march across America to end these crimes on the Internet by educating our citizens about this passport system and urging them to use it. You have the ability to end this Internet crime in very short order by joining me in this effort. Craigslist posts over 50 million ads a month, and if you step up right now and make sure every poster and reader of your site knows about this passport system, you will effectively end the epidemic of Internet crime. You have the ability to reach users at a level that no one else has, and in my opinion, you have the responsibility of utilizing that ability to stop this Internet crime epidemic.
You can see this passport system at www.safevilleusa.com There is no question that your users will be far more secure using this passport than continuing to interact in today’s unprotected world. This is the system that crime prevention experts have been calling for and now its here. There is no flaw, downside, or weakness in this system, it covers all of the bases as you will quickly see. This is the system we have all been waiting for and it is our duty to honest citizens to get behind it now and do whatever it takes to make it an everyday part of Internet interaction. I am going to do my part, and for the benefit of everyone involved in this, including Craigslist, I hope you do your part.
I will say this; had this system been available when Heather was murdered, and had I learned afterwards that you had purposely withheld information on this protective system from her, I would definitely place blame on you for her death. I think all American citizens would agree with me and will feel the same way from this point forward.
As you know, the Christmas shopping season is about to begin and Internet crime will explode. Let’s get ahead of this, be proactive, and have all Internet users protected this shopping season and avoid all of the harm that is coming their way.
If you need to speak directly to someone about this passport system, you can contact Carrie Dobos, Director of Public Information for SafeVilleUSA at 440-240-8961 or by email at Carrie@safevilleusa.com;
Or Mack Galphin, Director of Operations for SafeVilleUSA at 803-513-6400 or email Mack@safevilleusa.com.
I have always felt that you had a genuine concern for the safety and well being of your users and now your action or inaction on this passport system will clearly show if I was right about that. Don’t let me down, don’t let your users down, and don’t let America down, please get behind this effort and do your part to end Internet crime.
Thank you,
Heidi Kidd

Better to go to clearmatches.com-they do thorough criminal background checks from 137 Nation-wide databases for ALL crimes against people.... done from a social security number, date of birth, full legal name and address...you can't get that on a date! Be real!
