Concerning yesterday's underage drinking show. Your guest parents evidently knew that there would be drinking because he mentioned that no one could leave and he had all of the car keys.
I side with the parents 100%. Thinking that teens do not have access to alcohol on the street is like thinking kids have no access to cigaretts or no one has access to drugs. If there is not a safe place to drink, they will be doing it in a farm field, deserted road, dark area of a parking lot, etc. Then when they are through drinking, they will drive home DRUNK. Your two critics are like ostriches with thier heads in a hole. Does anyone seriously think there would be many teens turn out for a private party "guarded" by off duty cops???
If the parents who hosted the party are prosecuted, then every administrator of every college in the US should be prosecuted. We send our underage kids to college in the care of the college. It would be a dumb assumption to think there was no drinking, smoking or illicet sex going on... Ask the lawyer if she drank or had sex while she was in college or even high school. We hosted a party like your guest parents and guess what, most of the kids parents knew where thier child was at and that alcohol (beer) was available. They supported our thoughts... at least the kids were safe and not on the road
I love your new show and feel you are covering topics that many enjoy and learn from. I loved the interview with Jane Fonda and really need to get her DVD, as I had a knee replacement and have been out of shape ever since. She looks amazing for her age...I'm 3 years younger and want to look more like she does. I'm a retired teacher and had to be active for years and want to continue to be, for my grandkids.
