Tuesday, December 13, 2011 3:32AM

As the mother of 4-and-a-half-month-old and 19-month-old daughters, Melissa McCarthy hopes to be the best parent she can be. Anderson asks Melissa what kind of an example she hopes to set for her kids.

"I want them to be confident, strong, happy, healthy women," Melissa says. "I want them to define themselves by their actions and what they do and how they treat other people."

Watch Melissa talk more about parenting, and about her plans to start a plus-sized clothing line, in the video below.

Have always admired you for your work and no-fear trips on CNN. The way you have so much compassion for the People regardless of Gender, Race and Religion.
I had never been taught anything about prejudices. Learned the hard way when working in Wash.,DC while we still had stupid segregation. Complained to Parents for not making me aware. Dad's answer "How do you teach hate"?. Have had most wonderful experiences through volunteer work. Unforgetable trip as driver with 1984 Olympics, etc. Married/Widowed by man who's advocation was Jazz Musician. Both loved traveling by RV MH. While Son in college, we were fortunate to travel all mainland 48. Attended classes to learn Clowning and joined COAI as Kris-Ko prior to retiring. Now inactive. Probably should delete all this. Have outlived my Family & Jim's Family. My saying about age~ "only matters if you are buying wine or cheese". Definitely surprised when you told her age. May both of you always b blessed by good health.Jean/Kris-Ko.
