Hope Solo Says 'No Regrets' about 'DWTS'

Tuesday, November 22, 2011 9:20AM

Soccer star Hope Solo and dancing partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy made it to the semi-finals, but were eliminated last week on ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars."

There were many controversial moments from the season, and Anderson asks her if she has any regrets.

"I have no regrets. That's kind of my personality… I will never live with regrets. But I learned a lot. Honestly, I went into this experience completely naive. I am an intense athlete, however, I also am very -- I can let loose and have fun and smile, and I did not treat this competition like it was the Olympics. I wasn't that intense."

She continues, "I just really wish that America and all of our fans saw the fun-loving side of me, and Max. Because I think that's what people really wanted to see."

Watch the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" tonight (Tuesday, November 22, 2011) on ABC.

I just simply liked her, didn't have to think much about it. Her last performance was suberb. Hope and Maks looked good together and his ability helped her get as far as they did. Hope is not the only woman on the show with muscular arms, perhaps the judges didn't like her from the start.

oh please! Hope says no one liked her b/c she was too intense--no one likes her b/c she is a smart a** B****! I went in not knowing her at all but after her comments & behavior on the show--she is not a person I would want to know!

Everyone, from the judges to the viewers, were blown away by Hope's ability during the first, second and third week. As the show progressed, it was evident that it was not in Hope's heart to win. She was not a good dancer. No musicality in her style. Hopes keeps telling us that she is "an athlete" as if she is better than her pro-dancer and the rest of the audience. Yes, Hope ~ you may be an athlete, but you are certainly NOT a dancer.
