Exposed Women Confront Website Owner: 'What is Your Motive?'

Melissa and Daveeda discovered naked photos of themselves posted online. These photos were sent anonymously to a website, which posted them, along with pictures of each girl's Facebook page, with their real names.
Hunter Moore, creator of the site, says his motive for the site is "to get the information out."
"Do you feel bad about doing this?" asks Anderson. "I mean, you don't know these women. You don't know anything about them. Just anonymous people give you the pictures."
"That's what makes it easier, you know? It's all anonymous, I don't know these people," says Moore.
Hunter continues to say to Melissa and Daveeda, "No one put a gun to your head and made you take these pictures. It's 2011, everything's on the internet."

Oh and btw, the one with dark hair, edited her pictures. Clearly smoothed her skin every where and I mean everywhere and put an "artistic" sepia effect on them. Looks like there was some thought put in them
God damn. Please these girls are just embarrassed that they are on the website. If this interview did anything, its that it made our Hunter look a lot more reasonable. What is it going to take to get it through your heads? Don't want internet views, don't take the pictures. Now a days, its not like the concept of being passed around is new, its been this way for awhile. so what he made a website. You want his site to fail here is what you do, stop taking nudes. Stop sending them to people, trust or not, don't. then he can't put them up. he can on post what he is sent. And you know what? So many of those pictures are self submitted too. Please people don't fool your self, Hunter is not the problem. YOU are.

I am sure Mr. Moore has covered his legal bases. However, his business model and his character illustrate perfectly the problem with this country and our society at the moment. Just because something is both "perfectly legal" and wildly profitable doesn't mean you should do it. Also, I have to wonder how his legal contingency addresses a scenario where someone becomes a murder victim as a direct result of his tawdry site. What if a young woman who is overwhelmed by social pressures that, due to his obviously deficient upbringing, Mr. Moore clearly doesn't understand, kills herself? He says he has a sister. How would he feel if someone was profiting by providing a conduit to her front door for people who have the worst intentions? Not only do I not know how he can live with himself, I don't see how this won't all come crashing all around him on a long enough timeline.

The website owner that publishes naked photos is no different than a common pimp, living off the mistakes of women. He probably has no other talent than to make money off of women like any other pimp.

I have never commented on any news site or anything like this before, but this is absolutely necessary. Hunter Moore has done absolutely nothing wrong. Anyone who thinks he has is obviously too ignorant to accept the fact that peoples stupidity is the easiest and smartest thing to capitalize off of. These women want pity and apologies but they are getting exactly what they deserve for not realizing how easily and quickly people and technology will betray you. Their privacy has not been invaded. They invited this in with open arms.
Why don't the copyright laws apply in this case?? The photographer has rights under our copyright laws to the use of the images. So if this guy is making money from people visiting his website and doesn't have model releases from the subjects in the photos on his site why can't a smart attorney shut him down??

Sorry to be cynical, Mr. Cooper, but I've already seen two episodes of your show that feature this guy and his website--for the sake of your ratings, one could presume. You're giving this guy's business a lot of free promotion so that it will only grow and expand beyond what it is now. How is your show helping these people? Again, sorry if I'm coming off as a jerk, but I'm just trying to 'keep you honest.'
I LOVE HUNTER MOORE! Everything he said on today's segment was true especially what was quoted up above. It's 2011, if you expect your **** to remain sacred and secret then you have a whole other thing coming. It's like no one has learned that ANYONE can get your pictures these days whether you intended for them to get out or not. If you don't want to be posted on the site, don't take any questionable pictures that could screw you up in the long run.
Hunter Moore is an example of Corporate America, Congress, and many other organizations who make a profit through unacceptable behavior. The above are greedy, will make a profit at the expense of others. This consciousness of hostility, spreading hate is bringing our country/world down and is so disturbing. It is all about greed. Ellen Barkin was right when she said no one can make a mistake. How do we grow as citizens of the World when we cannot make a mistake. The guests on your show have no right to judge others' mistakes and expose them. I wonder what their mistakes are? I agree with Ellen Barkin's remark that the HWNJ are bullies, I got tired of watching them. Oh my gosh, could not listen to "Thank you Jesus" followed by nasty remarks or getting a material windfalls one more time!!
