Anderson to Angel: How Can Your Friends Be Sleazier Than You?

Tuesday, November 22, 2011 10:40AM

On Tuesday's show, Anderson looks at the shocking new online trend called revenge porn, in which private lives are exposed by bitter exes who post sexual photos on the Internet to exact revenge, even linking the photo to their ex's Facebook page, revealing a real name and identity.

To seek revenge, Angel submitted naked photos of her two ex-friends to Hunter Moore's website. She says her friends "made some mistakes."

"Do you think that makes you a good person or makes you sound like a good person?" Anderson asks Angel.

"It shouldn't change anything. I mean, they sent the pictures out themselves to many, many, many guys. So why not put it on the website if all these guys already saw it?" says Angel.

Later in the show, Anderson brings this up again... "What could they have done that was so terrible that would justify you being a complete --"

Angel interrupts and says, "They were sleazy. They were very, very sleazy"

"How can they be any sleazier than you?" ask Anderson

When did Anderson become such a tool? This isn't a big deal my man. People send nude pics. They get sent to a web site. They know the risks. Why so serious?

I thought that was disrespectful and rude of anderson to call that girls sleazy, they're many other worse websites on the internet and i don't believe hunter should be getting punished for doing this. someone else would have eventually. I don't believe what hunter is doing wrong. those girls wanted to be seen now they are. its their dumb fault for taking nudes.

Much like facebook, anything you send over the web is considered public. If you read the Terms Of Service of Facebook, facebook owns anything you say or post on the site and have the right to do with it as they please. Same goes for taking and sending nudes. Once you hit that send button, they are no longer under your private ownership. And why would you trust anyone with nudes? Hunter is just exposing the people in the world who need to learn the importance of making choices in life. Yeah you all may think its sleezy and that hes profiting off it it, but in reality he's not. From my understanding(Via posts and Tumblr), it costs around $8,000 a month to keep Isanyoneup running, and Hunter does not make that much money simply selling T-shirts. Isanyoneup is not a scam,it is not a stupid site. Isanyone up is a way of life. #NBHNC I am an 18 year old young woman and can prodly say I have never sent nudes in my life, and people who have sent them deserve what is comming to them. Not only that but Hunter has caught many Pedos' and sent their information to the local police with his site. If you don't want to be posted on the site, simply put, DON'T SEND NUDES.

I think the subject of posting information or photos needs to be treated almost the same way as stealing/sharing music and videos.
Every time we put our photos or information on line were taking a chance that others may distribute our photos. On line we don’t have control once there sent we only have the trust and faith of those friends we have sent them to in the first place. We all know friendships sometimes fall apart, so as adults use some common sense. I repeat the guests words he spoke on the Anderson show to the audience; Bill said … every time you give something to Facebook your giving away your identity. He continued by saying you need to protect yourself and said to even consider going off all together or getting passwords. More proof the internet site.

My point is what if the photo was of your child, and then someone passed it on? Even on dating sites I’ve seen men pose with their child… exposing a child to strangers. Did you know people can cut and paste your head onto another persons body? Surly people have seen the photo effects in the media that slant the truth all the time. So at least take some personal responsibility and accountability for distributing your photos on line.

My take on this is by putting myself in the distraught woman’s shoes. Yes I would feel violated if nude photos of me were all over, but who’s to blame? I’ve paid the consequences for past poor choices slipping out before so this would be another tick on the list. That mistake is what I would dread and never know when to expect will resurface in the future because of information being passed on. And I'm sorry, but personally I do my homework on people for my own safety and others, and why I don't hide things about myself. My personal choice! All kinds serf the net.

The person spreading the news on tv is just exposing the truth, not the one who is responsible for the damage he is reporting or we wouldn't have gossip columns. People are even taking videos of unsuspecting people caught in various acts and passing the information onto the news/tv who then are basically endorsing this whole process. Different videos and photos of people all need some boundaries to protect our rights and privacy, but again where do you start before it impinges on the right for reporting.
So I feel laws really need to be more defined to protect our privacy.

If I was at the Anderson show and sat beside my son who’s about the ages of the guests. I know he would do as he usually does when he sees a good looking woman, he would probably make the hoot sound of approval. Maybe some woman find this degrading or offensive but ever since I’ve known him I’ve only seen the resulting smiles of approval returned. Of course the rule for me is to not to be in close proximity when we’re walking around cause it makes it difficult for him to flirt.
Now I imagined Anderson talking to my son beside me because of the hooting of approval while these woman are trying to make the point there degraded. I would interrupt and be be saying to my son something he does not know, that I actually sent my x nude photos over the internet too. I assure you that he would be totally grossed out and never look at nudes on line again. He would be shocked because moms just don’t do that. But I would not blame the internet site posting the picks, Id blame me and my x who I guarantee does as all men do and showed off to a friend. Id settle the issue ‘with my x and the x would have to deal with the consequences. He should be the one pulling out the photo he gave to the internet site, even though I GAVE the pitcher to him. Yes, it was a gift so legally do we own this photo anymore? It would be different if the photo was taken without my knowledge wouldn't it?
The X should pay the legal price if he is in breach of trust.I think in reality though, the violation is more like an assault, or intent to do harm. There should be a legal price because the agreement was between the 2 parties... IF there were an agreement to keep the photos confidential.

So because there are online photos sent all over the world and easily distributed once they leave your computer maybe send the pic with the date, and have proof of the agreement directly on the pics corner so that you have this to refer to in the event the photos are distributed without your consent. There is too much gray area about what is copy right and what is not so people need to use their heads a little more.

People can scan photos, we have phones that take movies of us when we’re not looking and tiny little gadgets that go in tiny places to peek on us when we’re not looking too. I personally always check out my turf. Maybe in the future each photo labeled would also be like a tag or necessity for the internet sites to legally post any photos that are passed on. That way there can be a trace and anyone not having a traceable photo could be charged. Internet is like a photo pawn shop. So tags gives the internet site the responsibility and accountability to check the reference and follow through with removing photos that have not been approved. Just an idea, I'm sure there are better solutions.

I don’t think it is realistic that individual internet sites will be able to cross check photos that are sent at random. Maybe my ideas won’t work, but something needs to be done to protect misuse of the internet. People have been stealing music and movies a long time, even though many called this sharing therefore getting away with it. What makes us think porno would be different?

If the internet site displaying photos is popular and the moderator removed just one photo then wouldn't all the photos be subject to the same rights? From what I see the moderator is using his discretion's to remove the photos if he finds out they were taken illegally. And from what I see he has no real concrete way of even knowing a person’s age. So again, what is legal for him to put out there?

People need to moderate their children more on the internet and be aware of the information going out of their homes. What is OK to put online, how do we set boundaries and enforce them when even music, poetry, movies are all about the same subject matter like hurting or love. We need laws to protect our privacy, identity theft, freedom, our rights without infringing on the rights and freedoms of another. I really hope the moderator of the internet site does the right thing by these woman, but I think its too late to hide the photos from the public....their photos are already out there before they even found out. So take responsibility for you and your loved ones internet use, and what you put out there. Ethics are diverse.

Oh I'm sorry that these "women" feel violated. What did they expect? Anyone should know that not one person is only going to see your nudes. If you don't wanna be on the site don't take nudes. Especially to people who wanna sleep with. I forgot only women are the only ones on the site. What about the men? What about the Gnargs? I'm sure I'd feel more sympathy for them then these dumb broads. How about finally coming out Anderson? You cry for these gay teens that kill themselves but here you stand on your pedestal looking down at the rest of us and shaking a finger of us for looking at these idiots nudes. Hunter Moore for President!

I really hope karma comes back to those people. This is dispicable behavior. This show made me wonder though if the laws are so outdated what is being done or what can the public do to update these laws?

The one girl who had nude photographs taken by a photographer that were posted could sue Hunter Moore of infringement of copyright, since the photos were rights managed by the photographer. Digital photos have data in the .exif file that can be viewed in Photoshop showing when the photo was taken who owns copyright, serial numbers, etc. Interesting that the Hunter wouldn't want someone to post revenge porn images of his sisters but he sees no harm in doing this to others. The statement that if he receives a copy of a restraining order he'll remove the image is hardly a a favour as the abuser or stalker could already have the address from Facebook or another site by the time he takes the photo off, so this poses a danger to the women. His statement about not posting images of underage women is also incorrect as if the image was shot w. film or scanned there wouldn't be any .exif information. There's also programmes that allow one to edit the .exif files so again he has no idea of how old the woman in the photo is. The segment that showed how easy it is to hide a camera is also disturbing, I wish you'd get a security expert on your show Anderson, who can show one how to detect a hidden camera. I like the idea of a class action lawsuit, that would be sweet revenge.

I think sending nude pictures is the same as having sex, if your going to take nude pictures reality is the person your sending them to is NOT going to be the only one that sees them and you have to be ready for the outcome. You really cant trust anyone and Hunter is the smart one making profit out of it. Me being in my early 20's knows that if im going to send nudes, im expect them to be on isanyoneup.com

I watched your show about the web site that posts nude pictures of people for revenge. What a scum bag this guy is!!! I think one way to get this type of garbage off the internet is to boycott the sponsors that are advertising on that site. Economic sanctions work for undesirable dictators and such....Put a list of the advertisers and we can all boycott. the advertisers will be pulling out very quickly.

No other legal means but suing for copyright? That's still going to slam the website owner against the wall because he said he made money off the pics. And since Angel has admitted copying and sending, she can be sued.

If somebody put up a different web site offering to gather names of anybody who has had their image posted on this porn site, a class action lawsuit in the millions could be set up…or maybe just enough to bankrupt the little troll for years.

When a girl takes a picture of herself, that is her unwritten consent for it to be published, she is the one holding the camera, it's not hidden. Obviously you are mistaken because these women publish the pictures themselves in the first place by hitting send. Hunter Moore has a valid point in saying "How else will they learn not to do it?" You people act like this is the ONLY site where peoples' lives are ruined. Have any of you heard of 4chan? Hunter is the the G-Rated version of that site. These women are very lucky that it's Hunter and not the evil minds on 4chan.

This an example of what is wrong with this world. People don't respect each other, and anyone who would post these pictures on this website doesn't even respect themselves. Not everyone who is posted on these type of sites asked to have their picture taken, many were taken by people who install hidden cameras and take pictures of innocent people then post them.

My question is, why is it, if a photographer wants to publish a photo in a book or magazine, or a video on TV etc. you must have a signed model's release, otherwise they must be pixilated out, can this photos and videos be posted legally without written permission of the subject?

For the girl who was proud that she posted photos of her ex-friends, your name and this article and video are out there for others to see. I hope that any employer who runs a background check and Googles you, finds this and you never get a job, they won't want someone who does this type of thing working for them. I am sure that many people Google anyone they are thinking of dating. Do you really think they would take a chance on dating you if they know how revengeful you are? Now I hope that every photo that Hunter is sent contains a virus that takes yor site down. It won't be me, I don't know programing, but I am sure someone related to someone you post might. I am sure if you need investors for some business plan you come up with, you may have trouble getting money once they see what a sleaze you are.

I hope Karma finds both of you and the others who send photos to your site. Does anyone have morals or ethics anymore? I don't mean based on religion, I mean based on humanity. It is all based on greed, anything to make a buck, no matter who is hurt.

I feel sorry for kids today, cyber bullying has become a national problem with kids killing themselves. What happens if one of the people who's picture is posted on your site kills themselves because you didn't care and just wanted to make a buck, while you ruined their life. If a person can't get a job just because someone has a beef with someone else, I don't blame the victim, I blame the one who has such negative feelings about themselves, that they have to try and make someone look bad so they think they look better. It used to be you would yell, at most punch them, now, people think shooting someone is the way to settle a argument, or now post a photo of someone. I wonder how many of those photos are Photoshopped, the woman's face on the body somebody else. Now you have ruined someone's life when it isn't even them.

I hope that someone can find a way to take down that site and that they find something serious that they can charge you with. I hope that the police investigate every photo on your site, and if they find one under age person, they can charge you with dealing in child pornography.

The moral to the story is: No matter how much you think you love someone, or that they love you, you can't trust anyone anymore. What does that say about the world?

Hunter isn't a genius, he is a puke who only cares about how much money can he make.
